Towing a 14' utility trailer for a hayride?

I appreciate the opinions on both sides. I wasn't thinking I would get so many responses in either direction.

Towing a 14' utility trailer for a hayride?

That what I'm going for. Looks like a great experience for the kids. All the houses are on at least 2 acres. In my neighborhood we sit at the end of our driveways, have a portable bonfire and drinks. The picture may make it seem like a busy roadway. It's actually very private. The only...

Towing a 14' utility trailer for a hayride?

Thanks for your opinions. I'm with you on that. I live on a road that gets almost no traffic. It's not a through street. I actually feel like the kids would be safer on a lit up trailer than walking on a the street with no street lights. No draw bar. I'll be welding up something to that...

Towing a 14' utility trailer for a hayride?

My wife asked whether I could tow the kids around for Halloween this year. I have a 14 foot, 80" wide trailer. I'm wondering if this is possible or whether it's a horrible idea. BX25 with FEL and backhoe. I'll plan on running a grapple in front (holding a weight if needed), 4WD Low...

Bx25 HST fan blade - just 1 blade off

Hmm. It doesn't look as hard as I thought. My BX likely does not have the spacer in front as it's an older 2008 model and I would just have to assume that I'm going to have to lift the engine. I would need to figure out how to do that.

Bx25 HST fan blade - just 1 blade off

Ultimately this needs a bit of research to figure out ideal temps and the effectiveness of the fan. Once that's determined we can figure out alternatives and decide whether there's actually a need for them. I like the idea of a tranny cooler but as mentioned space is tight.

Bx25 HST fan blade - just 1 blade off

I wish I had that situation near me... Though the dealer I go to has always taken care of me (as much as a larger company could). Nice info on the IR temp readings. That is helpful.

Bx25 HST fan blade - just 1 blade off

Yes but its very primitive in design. It suggests that variability in temperature isn't that important. It runs all the time regardless of temperature (not turned on or off by temp). I wonder what temp the fluid is when the environment is 100 degrees out vs 30 degrees out. Either way the fan is...

Bx25 HST fan blade - just 1 blade off

I do most of my tractor work at night.

Bx25 HST fan blade - just 1 blade off

You know. I didn't think about that. I'm going to go get a stick, turn the tractor on and shove it in there at exactly the right time. Just kidding :) I think I'll see how it sounds and watch it rotate. If it looks way out of balance I think it might be a good idea.

Bx25 HST fan blade - just 1 blade off

I called the service department of a local Kubota dealer. They said just 1 blade off the HST fan likely wouldn't cause much of an issue at all. The speed isn't fast enough for the 1 gram or so of missing blade to do any damage. They said they wouldn't bother replacing the fan unless it causes...

Bx25 HST fan blade - just 1 blade off

I mean...how bad could it be :) It's like a girl with a snaggle tooth. They're cute sometimes.

Bx25 HST fan blade - just 1 blade off

Ugh. I don't have a newer BX. I think mine is an 2008 model. They don't make a metal fan or some sort or shroud do they?

Bx25 HST fan blade - just 1 blade off

I ruined my HST fan blade before so I had the dealer replace it and I bought underbody armor. I didn't have it on today. Figured I'd do something quick. I'm not smart. I heard a rotational whine and I stopped asap. There is a single blade missing on the HST. What are people's thoughts on...

    BX25 FEL control rod malfunctioning

Thanks for the offer to help. I've taken video. Hopefully this is helpful for those who may offer assistance. I'll take and upload pics shortly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkMBFgEHMNA

    BX25 FEL control rod malfunctioning

Anyone have any ideas? This is getting worse. Using the grapple got pretty dangerous. The control stick seems to be very sloppy and gets stuck in position.

    BX25 FEL control rod malfunctioning

I noticed something strange today. when lifting something off the ground with the BX the loader continued to lift on its own without me touching the controls. Normally after you let go, the arm should spring back to its center position. Has anyone experienced this? It's quite dangerous as I...

B9200 front blade or snow blower

I have a bx25 so not your size tractor. But snowblower all the way! And try to get a front mount. Your neck will thank you. Enough is done looking backwards...at least you can snowblower looking forward. No berms, the ability to cut out your mailbox. Fun shooting snow is like pissing artwork.

BX25 Pat's Quick Change and Top Link

I had the same problem. I bought a longer top link and it didn't fit width-wise. I will just be grinding the yoke down as someone else mentioned. I would say max of 1/8" on each side
