    Land pride SGC0660

Well it was a mess then and it is now. I quit a job in Syracuse because of the gas shortage which was 50 miles each way, I guess you are right on the carter because the 2 plates was after 77. My brain was off a little. But my grapple is off for a while yet too! Bill

Tools and Products - Making Jobs Easier

That inductance heater is on my list of tools to get. I live in the north east and salt use can make what should be a hour job into day long struggle with exhaust bolts, well anything under the car or truck. My son uses one at work and said it works well. Blaster cans are everywhere so I don't...

Kubota L35 TLB - Gear Shift Change Mechanism

Nice work. I like to work and repair as I am retired too. I have an 1950 8N that i kept when I got my new L2501. I have had it over 20 years and while I can buy almost anything for it I am one for function and repair and never get around to the level of paint you do and I admire that. I have...

    L2501DT Hydraulic Level Dropped Quickly

I was doing some math this morning on the volume of the cylinders. Based on the info in my 525 they are 45mm bore x 476mm stroke x 4 as they are the same size. The extended is about 46 cu in each xs 4 =184 so a little less than 4 qts, if it was dry to begin with. Subtracting for the shafts it is...

    L2501DT Hydraulic Level Dropped Quickly

I agree on checking in the garage same place every time. When outside I have found it takes very little to throw it off. That is why I suggested him parking it on a slope with the left side up or jacking the left side to see if it would show the glass empty. I think after re-reading he did on a...

    L2501DT Hydraulic Level Dropped Quickly

I have been thinking about your pulling the sight glass suggestion here again. A good idea if you just loosened it until it weeped or leaked around the threads, it would have shown right away it was overfull. Maybe then (before it was at the 3 gallons over point) you could have let it drip into...

    L2501DT Hydraulic Level Dropped Quickly

Real glad you got it too. That rod idea sounds interesting , maybe i will try while it is flat in the garage tomorrow. That would make a good check if made up ahead of time. Bill

    L2501DT Hydraulic Level Dropped Quickly

Glad you are getting it figured out. A gallon sounds like quite a bit more than you would expect to see without a leak. No leaks while it is running?

    L2501DT Hydraulic Level Dropped Quickly

I agree not going to solve the problem but could show it was overfill. Just know mine if it is on a slope It won't show at all in the sight glass. I usually check in the garage when I put it away. I caught one of the stabilizer hoses and broke it . It was only down a qt or so but didn't show...

    L2501DT Hydraulic Level Dropped Quickly

Maybe put a jack under that side of your tractor and raise it up some to see if it comes down in the glass? that or stop it on a slope with the left side up hill.

    L2501DT Hydraulic Level Dropped Quickly

I have the same tractor but with a bh77 too. I have found it only takes maybe a little over a qt to go from just showing in the sight glass to about 1/2 way. are you sure you didn't over fill? I am guessing on the exact amount because I put it in a used pudding container so I can bend it into a...

    Blowing Main ECU Fuse

Isn't the L3901 the same chassis as The L2501? My manual says it is located in the steering column support area.

Searching for nc/unc cat 1 long lift arm pin

Hey Dan, Glad you got something to work. Sometimes that metric/sae thing is a pia. I see another thread where someone is having a missing nut on linkage turn out to be 5/16 on his kubota HST pedal. Would of thought that would have been metric for sure. Bill

    R14T hybrid tires

I have them on my L2501DT. I have been doing a lot of digging around in some really clay soil. I haven't got stuck yet and that is with the backhoe hanging on the back with the pivot contacting at times. backing up slopes with a full loader bucket too but using the dif loc some. A lot better...

M4500DT 3 point linkage not working after oil change

This model doesn't happen to have a 2 stage clutch does it? Where you have to push it farther than normal to engage the PTO when running. If so, maybe out of adjustment?

    Front & Rear 3rd Function?

My L2501 with the BH77 was delivered new with the one of the backhoe pins in the wrong hole. Something that sticks in my mind.

    Front & Rear 3rd Function?

I like your install but noticed the retainer pin for the loader mount. Isn't it supposed to be in the small hole so it hangs down? In that position it is in it can move and the large mounting pin can work out.

    What were the engineers thinking?

I finally got my retirement kubota in february this year to supplemant my 8N, I am on a learning curve on the history of them. I didn't know they used that style in the past and i was looking at them as a replacemnt today.
