Great ideas. All of these are better than my "system" that involves laying it down against the wall in the tractor shed. :( I do disconnect the auger. I try to keep most of my equipment (esp. pto driven) out of the elements here in PA.

Mine was hard at first and I used a small adjustable that I kept in the toolbox. After a while and some WD40 it freed up & I do it to hand tight and don't bother with the wrench.
