    Hey Vic and pro fabricators....?

I have a L245DT with a FEL, and a few weeks back the front frame assembly snapped a corner off of the engine block at one of the mounting bolts. *using the FEL and NOT overworking it... WELL... after getting her up on stands and and pulling the entire front end off. All I can say is it was a...

    l185 fel bucket repair

... questions on getting the bend out of the bucket...? did you have to heat it up with a torch? or did you start welding the channel at the non-bent or the bent end and use the channel and some "pressure" like a jack or BFH...? do you clamp it down a few inches at a time and pull it...

    The orange beast lives!!!!

... if it were "easy".... little grey haired old ladies could do it...!!! anyway. If "modifications" can be made... and you think it would work, go for it... Like in my case, I'm not getting a new engine block, just to put it back "like it was"... I'm modifying the HELL out of mine. You...

    The orange beast lives!!!!

take your time... it might take DAYS of looking. (or longer). then again, if you just get the housing, and its the wrong one... you might have been better off to get the whole box... some parts are different designs but function the same (as a whole)... but pieces from one will not fix another...

    The orange beast lives!!!!

Yep, cant just buy the pinion gear, have to get the "set"... so theres $600... plus the new O-rings for the front axle housings, and lube.... metal should only be a couple hundred, and i'll finally have an excuse to "borrow" dads torch and welder... so all in all, I dont think it will be that...

    The orange beast lives!!!!

Those battery cables are pretty thin... might be good to get something with some size to it. Dont worry, mine has been under a tarp for weeks now, broke engine block at front frame attatchment point. i've got the whole front end off, axles all off (4x4) and split on each side of differential...

    The orange beast lives!!!!

..... So, you got her running...!!! GREAT. What did you have to do to get it to start...? Did you find some loose wires, or did it just need a little lovin and time to get her going. Did she smoke a little then clear up? After you shut it off, will she fire right back up...? details... we like...

    New to me L1500

.... or it could be the switch.... if your using a meter, check EVERYTHING in the system. I know my glow plugs are working, simply because "it starts". I have not checked the indicator, I just turn it to the glow position for x# seconds (again, depending on local temp) or if its been running...

    New to me L1500

... sounds like you need to "bleed the injectors" (search how exactly on here), work the air out of the system. when it starts pushing fuel and not air, screw the bleeder screw back in ( it should only be out a half turn or so) take your time... let your battery recover (if your on a charger or...

    MAD Racoons...

I guess it depends on the wedding... are the people "large and juicy" or "little like chicken wings"...? How many would "said bear" have to eat to get "full"... One BIG guest, or several smaller ones... hmmmm. ( yep, it WOULD be messed up) .... and "i" would be going to jail for "lighting that...

    New to me L1500

Looks like a fun little project to me..... These little tractors are actually very simple, and easy to work on, parts arent too hard to find, and they seem to run forEVER if you treat them right. Keep us posted on your progress. (with pics)

    MAD Racoons...

Its a CRAZY world we live in.... and I feel right at home. At least where we live now, being "mostly country", farmers and ranchers, most any animal shootings are JUSTIFIED. (or any other shootings for that matter...)

two knobs which one is decompression and fuel shut off

My L245DT decompression is on the left side of my dash and fuel shut off is a lever near my right foot. I would "think" that the fuel shut off would be the one that returns on its own, as mine does. It should have a return spring if its a momentary shut off, not a "valve". Also, raise the hood...

    L175 Sheet metal work ************

Exactly... working on it "under a tree"... NO FUN. (but kind of relaxing). I have a lot on my list to do, just to get her back to work. Building a full front frame, new gears in the front diff, get my tach working, drain hyd and replace screen/filter... just for starters. I'll post some pics of...

    L175 Sheet metal work ************

I've got a little HF flux wire welder, I think if I take my time with it, welding up the fender cracks should be easy.... starting on a low setting and work my way up till I get a good weld. I want to wait till we get our house and my shop built first, I'm sure she'll get some "wear"... then be...

    Issues Splitting the L175 Transmisson

I was thinking the same thing, when i split apart my front axles on my L245DT, there are O-rings for seals, but I'm wondering if putting some sort of liquid gasket around the joints as well...? anyone...?

    L175 Sheet metal work ************

WOW... she looks GREAT. I hope some day my old 245DT will look even HALF that good. I've got a few dents in the front of my hood and the top has been caved in a bit... I'll need to weld some cracks on my fenders, but looking at yours gives me hope, makes me happy to know that it has potential...
