    Spring black bear trail cam

Like bearbait says, they're quite voracious and opportunistic after hibernation. Anything edible is on the menu.

    Oil change interval

Strictly my own choice; I change motor oil annually. Gets about 60 hours on it, and like you, use it year ‘round. A little BX service is only about $30. Certainly more expensive for a bigger machine, if that enters the equation.

    Consignment Auction Today

One of my favorite auctions near me is a Farm Bureau Consignment and is going on today. Usually have 3,000 lots and 2,000+ bidders. Everything from Amish furniture to beef cattle, large excavators, trucks, tractors and implements. It was 42 degrees and raining. Place is a mud hole when it's...

Draw bar uses if you have a 3-point or quick hitch mounted receiver?

Guys - - - if you have a QH on and trying to use the stationary drawbar, can't you just raise the 3PH and leave it up so everything clears?

    Jobs everywhere, no workers.....

The closest I get to National News is "US Farm Report" on RFDTV..... Just a few minutes ago they had a segment on this issue. In Kansas, a person on unemployment can draw $788/week. Like others said, some states are discontinuing the federal $300 adder. I think I heard Montana is doing...

    garden hose reel (with wheels)

20 years ago, I had one very similar to the one Old Paint has. I did have it about 6-8 years, but my luck wasn't so good. The packing of the center started leaking and I could not get it to stop. Was always brought in the winter...never froze. Tore it all apart and replaced o-rings, etc...

    RCK60B-22BX

Go to the illustrated parts diagrams - - put in your RCK60B-22BX model number. Will not give you a how-to, but will show how they fit together with current parts numbers if needed. https://apps.kubotausa.com/illustrated-parts/ I checked here http://kubotabooks.com/ and here...

Tractorgal - - had you changed the gearbox oil before? Might explain the darker oil coming out...those boxes are a challenge to drain completely without making a mess.

    B2601 4WD front tires spinning

I mowed this spot next to a Red Pine an hour ago with my little BX in 2WD. It was wet and slopes left to right. Done it 1,000’s of times. Was going fast to beat the rain. Upper wheel has less traction than-downhill side. Obviously, upper wheel broke traction while lower did not. Same...

    B2601 4WD front tires spinning

My 1953 Minneapolis Moline is 2-wheel drive. Many tractors of the era had individual wheel brakes...does your B2601? On a steep slope, you learned early to brake the “upper-side” wheel so it wouldn’t just spin , leaving the downhill wheel doing nothing. No locking rear differential on...

    B2601 4WD front tires spinning

You have drive power to the front wheels. If both have similar traction, both will turn with drive force. Stick one in the air, and it will spin free without the other having drive force. Same would apply to your rear wheels, absent the differential being locked.

    B2601 4WD front tires spinning

As a follow, your tractor is really “2” wheel drive; 1 rear and 1 front, unless you have the rear differential lock engaged. Then it’s 3. You can’t turn a true “locked” 4WD vehicle, as turning radii of the wheels would tear conventional differentials apart. Can’t turn your tractor with the...

    B2601 4WD front tires spinning

Your tractor is really 3-wheel drive. Same applies for nearly all “4” wheel drive vehicles I’m aware of.

    B2601 4WD front tires spinning

Like NHSleddog said...because your front differential is not locked nor limited slip, the front wheel with less/no traction will spin. While you can lock your rear differential, you can’t lock the front differential on most tractors. It is possible on some larger machines, as I understand it...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I mowed. Only the high spots and very quickly. Was wet, but another week of wet weather coming. Could get a few bales of hay if I left it....

As an aside....don’t put your tractor in neutral unless you set the parking brake. ....Just some friendly advice....

    RCK60B-22BX

Your gearbox likely has a vent on the top. If it was upside down, it’s possible it leaked. Since everything was secured (bolted in place) I’m doubting a coincidental seal failure but it’s a guess. A cracked gearbox would be more likely to be the problem to me. Like your fuel leak, I would...

    New L2501 Delivere W/R14 instead R4 Tires?

If my lawn is damp/wet, the R4's on my little BX mark up the yard a little. I've used R1, R3, and R4's on my smaller mowing tractors over the years. Never used R14's, but saw them up-close on a B2601 in a dealer's yard while back. I would consider them.
