I buy a winter blend that***8217;s available here in the U.P. -21 here with wind chills tonight -35/-45 below. No issues with gelling, I just came in from blowing snow. They blend there own fuel. Can you get number 1 to blend your own?

The paddles are still straight and have no strength when used in that position. My old farm king is less than half that thickness and I have never bent the paddles hitting frozen banks. There is a quality issue I believe.

I’ve hit frozen banks all season this winter, no issues. We normally have 200+ inches of snow but this year we’ve received lots of rain In December and January. I thinks it’s the design.

Good advice on the greasing of the shaft. My LP was seized when I bought it and wasn’t easy to free up. I assumed his being new that wasn’t the case for him.

The shaft driving the chain on my FK and LP run a 1/4 grade 5. But the PTO shear yoke runs the M8 or the 5/16.

I wasn’t comfortable running grade 5 or metric grade 8.8 due to the fact they want a grade 2. I’m guessing to protect the aluminum gear box.
