    New Member Question

I bet you will for small things. One thing I noticed is the excavator is really slow compared to the tractor to get somewhere. You will likely find that for a little thing here and there, that the BX with backhoe is the tool of choice. Of course, if you have to put the hoe on the tractor, time...

Bucket hooks again ... weld on vs bolt on

I welded a piece of angle to reinforce the top lip of my bucket, and welded the hooks to the angle. Grab hooks in line with the cylinders, and a slip hook in the middle. Never regretted the slip hook in the middle... Yes, I would do it again.

Bucket hooks again ... weld on vs bolt on

Geohorn, you must have a really big tractor! That hook looks so small! What size chain fits it? 1/4 inch? Looks great though, job well done...I think I used 3/8 inch grab hooks myself...

Kubota BX exhaust stack mod! (First ever?!)

Thanks. I figured that was what it must be. Clarification is appreciated!

Wow! It's help like this that makes this forum so great!

    Skid plate

I keep my MMM on nearly all the time so I have not worried much, like B737 says. Without the MMM, protection for that fan on the BX tractors is imperative. Even the newer models, which have an attempt at protection, are lacking really. One of the aftermarket products mentioned in this thread is...

The power of a Woods backhoe on B2410

I doubt he will be trying to do the kind of work you can do with your M59! Agree that one can likely damage any piece of equipment with abuse. BUT the OP is buying a backhoe that will have a sub frame, and will pretty much be sized correctly for his tractor. In my case, I have (gasp) a 3PH...

L3901 won’t lift and curl at the same time.

That may be. But my B2910 would fall into the small category, and I have NEVER noticed not having the ability to lift and curl at the same time, bucket empty, or full of crushed limestone. I remember reading, as Mikester stated, that some tractors only have a one movement at a time capability...

L3901 won’t lift and curl at the same time.

Can not speak for your friends tractor, but on my B2910 curl and lift operate simultaneously without issue. With my backhoe boom, stick and curl also work simultaneously. Have read this is a feature of Kubota products. Never noticed a difference between an empty or full bucket. Something...

Trailer for BX to tow and be towed?

I think this is the most reasonable thing to do. I have pulled my 5x8 road licensed dump trailer with my BX. It worked, but with hills was difficult if the grass/ground was more than just damp. That is with AG tires which are foam filled so heavy, and the MMM in place. No loader. I would think...

    CAN'T FIND MY SHUT-OFF TIMER RELAY - BX2200

You are welcome. I know that circuit pretty well as I lived through the problem recently as I mentioned. Post additional questions if they come up, myself or others here will certainly try to help. If you unplug the solenoid the starter will not turn over. The safety circuit passes through the...

    Oil Dipstick

That would be much better than the term we have around here...which probably was derived from dipstick... Dipsh*t!

BX 2200 Checking front axle oil

Good question. I always put the dipstick in as far as it will go, and measure that way. BUT I do not know the correct answer...Have often wondered the same thing myself. I think bottom line is either way will work and not cause any damage...but since I am of the more is better group, maybe NOT...

    CAN'T FIND MY SHUT-OFF TIMER RELAY - BX2200

In case you are not the same guy as on TBN: The bX2200 does not have a fuel shutoff relay. That is used on the BX1800. The BX2200 uses a solenoid on the side of the injection pump. That solenoid has two coils, one is the pull in coil, that is energized when the starter turns over, and the other...

    CAN'T FIND MY SHUT-OFF TIMER RELAY - BX2200

I think I replied to your post over at TBN. The BX2200 does not have a fuel shutoff relay. The schematic is confusing if you do not realize it. The diagram covers the BX1800 and BX2200. BX1800 has the relay....

Dual rear wheels on a BX

Thanks for posting the link. May help others in the future too. Seems like a reasonable price, considering it is basically plug and play. Unfortunately, I just remembered I have a MMM that I use regularly throughout the summer...so anything more than the 1.25 inch spacers that I have now will...

    Need Advice

Got curious and 24x12x12 are the standard size. But the same search turned up this tidbit: I own a bx1870. Which I now know should have tire sizes as follows...16x7.50-8 fronts and 24x12-12 rears, but it was sold to me with 18x8.50-8 fronts and 26x12-12 rears. No big deal except that the fronts...
