    Interesting find on YouTube.

Amazing what people can do when they feel the need! I would have liked to see more of what those four wheels on the power unit were doing. Seems like no need for four of the wheels unless they are all powered.

    Calling all Canadians.

This may be off the wall, but seeing that the Canadian market should be a great opportunity for EA, it would seem like they should make an effort to understand what is involved with shipping their products to Canada, out of self interest, if nothing else. Now maybe they are small enough, or...

    FEL not level

I run the R4s on my B2910 in the 12 to 15 psi range (have not checked them in a couple years). My tires are liquid filled with WW fluid, to valve stem level at 12 o'clock. My gut tells me that there is a difference between a tire that is totally filled with air, and one that only has a 25% air...

    Adding Rear Hydraulics

$1,150 (plus sales tax on top?) for one control function (1 control lever controlling one cylinder) sure would have me considering doing it myself. BUT DIY is not for everyone. Edit: I found that using control valves with built in pilot operated check valves is highly desirable. Locks the...

    Adding Rear Hydraulics

Is a set, one remote function, or two? If two that might not be too bad when paying someone to do the install. Years ago, I installed four remotes on my B2910. Did it myself. Bought the parts and so on. Still cost around $950 at that time(for 4 functions), if I remember correctly. BUT it was a...

Messick's shipping. You've got to be kidding me!!!

Not great if you are in a hurry! So did the cheap replacement work for you? I ordered a replacement fuel cutoff solenoid from somewhere for my BX2200 last summer, at about 1/5 the cost of the Kubota part, and it has performed perfectly for about six months now. BUT it was from a USA address...

    Starting Trouble

Well, each tractor is different...so comparing one to another is shaky... Bottom line is it SEEMS that when the OP removes the solenoid, the tractor starts. I do not remember what he did to stop it afterwards. With the solenoid in place on the injector pump (I think I remember this correctly)...

    130 hour update (B2650)

Glad you are happy with your tractor. I have over 1800 hours on my b2910 and 1200 plus on my smaller BX2200. I share your enthusiasm! Nothing beats a happy tractor's owner's report!

Kubota b6100 left rear wheel wont spin

I think you need to explain more. In neutral, the tractor should not move right? The rear wheels should not want to move right? Do you mean in neutral, you try to move the rear wheel yourself, it seems to be locked and will not rotate? I am not sure I can help anyway, but if you are more...

    Starting Trouble

I don't know obviously, but if the tractor does not start when the solenoid is attached, and does start when the solenoid is removed, I think there is a message there...

Bucket hooks again ... weld on vs bolt on

That is about exactly what I did as well. Totally happy with that set up and absolutely no regrets! I did weld a piece of 1/4 inch angle across the top to stiffen the top lip and give something strong to weld to.

    Bx2200 tires

AND the price is probably very reasonable as well. I paid $300 plus sales tax for a set of AG tires on wheels for my BX2200 about 18 years ago... $450 after this much time is likely cheaper than I paid in inflation adjusted dollars.

    Paying off student dept...

I feel this way too...but would increase the free ride to include those who did get degrees and well paying jobs as the result...

    leaking cylinder

I caught that too, but thought the difference was probably irrelevant to the point being made... Good point to keep in mind though...no argument there...actually, no argument anywhere! :)

    BX2200 Electrical Gremlins

Just to add a tidbit...the BX2200 fuel cutoff solenoid is spring loaded to extend to the fuel cutoff position when de-energized. It must be energized to pull the plunger (armature, pin, whatever) back so the tractor will start. The solenoid has two coils, one is the hold coil that is energized...

    Starting Trouble

I could not view Dave's pdf file on my ipad for some reason... You are correct that according to the schematic, the 40 amp fuse does feed the fuel cut off solenoid directly. But doesn't this seem a bit strange? I have seen mistakes on schematics before. I do know the fuel shutoff solenoid on...

    Starting Trouble

In addition to what Dave said, you should be able to physically move the solenoid armature in and out by pushing (or pulling) on it. It will have a spring holding it in one position. You move it, and it returns to its natural position. If it does not move it must be frozen in position, which is...

    Bx2200 tires

In the past, a set of 4 tires used to be purchased from the sales department from an area called “whole goods.” You bought a set of four tires mounted on rims ready to go. I did this for my BX 2200 years ago. I bought a set of ag tires to replace turf tires. Others have reported doing exactly...

    Paying off student dept...

I see politicians wanting to forgive some amount of student debt. Amount doesn't matter. The problem I have is what about those who diligently paid off their debt? As compared to those who have not. My conclusion is that if there is some relief given to those who have not paid their debt, for...

    FEL not level

This is absolutely true. Just want to add the reason why. The front axle has a center pivot, while the rear axle is solid. Raising one of the front tires lifts the front of the tractor a bit, but cannot change the angle of the frame, at least not until the raised side of the front axle reaches...
