    B7100 Fuel Filter

Pat YOU ARE AWESOME! Thank you, I looked up the numbers and double checked them and #3389 was correct. We compared the two filters and they were exactly the same so no mis-marked filter. The only thing left was the plastic shrunk. Yes the filter is the root beer color, yes the plastic felt...

    B7100 Fuel Filter

I have been replacing my fuel filter and oil filters with ones from Napa. I have been using part # 3389. The previous owner of my tractor had all the filter number written down in the owners manual that he used from napa. However, I am thinking it is now the wrong number. The filter did not...

Replacing Rear axle seals for Kubota B7100

Yes it really was that easy. Took much longer to replace the fluid than it took to replace the seals. A little screw driver, a hammer and a piece of PVC pipe to drive the new one back was all it took. Thanks for the help.

Replacing Rear axle seals for Kubota B7100

Thanks! Where did you get your new seals? Order online or from the dealer? Last year at this time I was trying to figure out how to replace/repair a gear in the PTO that had a tooth break off. The tractor was out of commission for several weeks while I tried to repair it and get parts...

Replacing Rear axle seals for Kubota B7100

One of my rear axle seals is leaking and needs to be replaced. Of course this is when I need my tractor the most prepping ground for fall and winter plantings. I found this thread on the topic, http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6130 Is it really this simple and maybe...

    B7001 making grinding noise

Ok, I maybe wrong, but look at your back tires. I am willing to bet the bolt/pins that hold the hub to the axle broke and the tire rim is rubbing on the inside of the wheel fender. The hub has walked its way in. If I had to guess, by your video, it may be the right one. The only reason I...

    Creeping Speed Transmission

Not sure how it works either. I have never been able to get it to work. I am not sure what handles need to be where or hoses plugged into what? One thing I know for sure is that when I plug in the hydraulic hose to the quick release on the top, the 3 point arms don't work. I try to plug it in...

    Hooking up 3PT implements..........HELP!!!!!!!

I agree 20 minutes is unacceptable too. I worked ground and mowed today and I timed myself, at a slow pace (could have gone much quicker). I unhooked my 3pt 48 inch mower and hooked onto my one bottom lister plow. It took 1 minute and 38 seconds. Then I unhooked my 1 bottom lister plow and...

    Hooking up 3PT implements..........HELP!!!!!!!

Personally, I have no problem hooking up and unhooking 3pt implements. I can do most everything in just a few minutes. What is your problem with? The lower arms, the upper link? I guess growing up on a farm, I have probably hooked and unhooked my fair share of implements. The biggest...

    Broken Gear on PTO B7100

If you have an early model B7100 or a grey market B7001 and you break the spur gear on your PTO and need part number 66711-14530, you will find that it has been discontinued. There are none to be found in the US and most salvage yards say they are missing. Do not be afraid, all is good. I...

    Broken Gear on PTO B7100

Just got the new gear this morning. It is wider, but I went and got two shims/spacers and am able to make it work without using the snap ring. Now to just put it all back together, fill with fluid and off we go. Jay

    Broken Gear on PTO B7100

A little update on my whole broken gear tooth on my early years model B7100/7001. I have explored many options with this and here is what I have found. 1) My local dealer (well they are a chain and each individual store specializes in one of their lines they carry, mine specializes in New...

    Back in business.....B7100 PTO gear

I have the serial number and part number and the part is now discontinued by Kubota. I spoke with two different dealers about this. My tractor is a very early model, 1977-78 according to the serial numbers. To my knowledge and the previous owner (I know could have lied about it) it isn't a...

    Back in business.....B7100 PTO gear

Trust me, it isn't over! I am not tossing this little beast. It has a rebuilt motor (just a few hours on it after I bought it) and brand new tires all around replaced two weeks ago. I am a small produce farmer and most all my operation is set up around this tractor. Even if I have to put it...

    Broken Gear on PTO B7100

Found out what the clicking/clunking noise was when I used the PTO, it was a broken tooth off one of the PTO gears. Now to see if I can get the part.

    Clicking sound from PTO B7100

Love this site, I finally found someone who tore apart theirs and shared pictures. It doesn't seem so bad now. http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4270 Maybe I will take it to my brother in laws shop later tonight and tear it apart and see what happens. Thanks!
