Back in business.....B7100 PTO gear

I have the serial number and part number and the part is now discontinued by Kubota. I spoke with two different dealers about this. My tractor is a very early model, 1977-78 according to the serial numbers.

To my knowledge and the previous owner (I know could have lied about it) it isn't a gray market tractor. The early 7100's in the US had serial numbers 7001 then the 5 digit number. So maybe I do have a 7001. It doesn't have the overriding clutch, which is what they added in the later years, thus the serial number and part switch. Also sounds like that maybe the reason for the broken gear.

I will be adding an over riding clutch and making some adjustments in PTO shafts after I find this gear and get everything running again.

By the gear and the fact that you don't have an overrunning clutch I would say you do have a B7001 and not a B7100, as even the older models had a 18 tooth gear and an overrunning clutch.

I have a very early year B7100. I would need to go out and recheck serial # to tell you what it is exactly. I do know it starts with B7001 and it does not have the over running clutch on the PTO. However it is a B7100.
