    B2650 smoke and PTO noise

Its a diesel! It will make a puff of smoke on startup. There will be a small amount of gear clatter on your pto. That is normal too. Enjoy your machine, everything is fine.

    L5740 HST won't move

Correct. The pto is driven from behind the clutch so if the clutch is disengaged it will stop the pto also. Given that all systems work except for horizontal movement I would be suspicious of an electrical problem.

    B7100 hst Venting injection pump

Starting fluid:eek::eek::eek:. I have seen many of these small diesels ruined with 'just a little' starting fluid.

    L5740 HST won't move

The L5740 is drive by wire. It could be electrical. Multiple systems at play to make it drive. But please be more specific.

Can't identify part that fell off tractor.

So if it is from your fuel cap how did you lose it without noticing and how did it get hydraulic oil in it??

Can't identify part that fell off tractor.

Is the plug in the fill hole for the transmission. On the top at the back of housing?

    F2000 puzzle

Your description of the oil after running indicates you are either sucking air or your charge pump is worn. Surging will be caused by insufficient oil flow to the hydro-stat.

    Radiator Fan Reversable ?

Some B series a few years back had the fan blowing forward. Never was a big fan of that. I found the engine ran warmer because it was drawing the hot air over the engine and then using it to cool the engine. Be good in winter but poor in summer.

Will have to get it to you in the morning. Always thought I had a 2 but I guess not.

Kubota L4740 PTO will not shut off

    So I have a 2010 L5740 with manual pto engagement. Do I have a 1,2 or3 series?

Kubota L4740 PTO will not shut off

The series 2 does not use a electric solenoid to engage the pto, it has a manually controlled valve instead.

Kubota L4740 PTO will not shut off

It would be wise to talk with someone who has a more intimate knowledge of the pto system. If you can get a hold of a WSM it might give more insight and tests to do before you 'gut' your tractor. JMHO.

Kubota L4740 PTO will not shut off

Highly unlikely there would be any pressure. Something has likely failed right in the clutch pack itself. Usually they fail the other way, where a sealing ring fails in the clutch and it loses hydraulic pressure and won't engage properly.

Kubota L4740 PTO will not shut off

The main clutch severs all engine power to the back half of the tractor. Hydraulic pressure maintains power for the pto so if the engine is off there is nothing to keep the pto engaged. There can be no residual pressure to the pto clutch if the engine is off. If everything is operating the way...

Kubota L4740 PTO will not shut off

What happens when you turn the tractor off and push in the main traction clutch? Can you turn the pto shaft by hand? If you can then you have a valving problem. There will be no pressure holding the clutches together with the engine off. Then try reengaging the main clutch and try turning shaft...

    PTO Troubles

That's a whole lot cheaper and easier fix than ripping into tractor. I'm glad that's all it is.

PTO moves at high rpm when disengaged

There is no pto brake on the B's that I am aware of. Even so there is no oil drag that can make the pto rotate with this setup. Since there is not pto clutch there is no way to have rotational drag. I am stumped.
