Searching for a good trouble light.

Ditto. Seems like I'm constantly adjusting for different work angles. Although dealing with batteries isn't ideal, and no headlight I've found has been perfect. Still better than a work light. I personally prefer ones with a soft flood option. Good luck.

    BXpanded ?

Love my Piranha Tooth Bar. Been several years but was a pleasant transaction.

    Whos into home grown

Your explanation makes sense. Seems to check a lot of boxes for us. Knowing what's (not) in our food, maximizing nutrients, eating our own (non-pickled) veggies over the winter and throughout the year, no high temp canning, no freezer space used, and not having my wife make me eat okra 100 days...

    Whos into home grown

Appreciate the followup. I'm going to investigate further. I don't do any high temp canning, and would prefer a more practical alternative. I just do things that are acidic enough (pickling, tomatoes, etc) that I can do using the sous vide. Ours is a relatively small garden, but would love...

    Whos into home grown

I'm intrigued by freeze drying (or any alternative methods of food preservation). Anything in particular freeze drying is best/not suited for? Glancing at equipment cost, I would speculate that it's (much?) superior to dehydrating? Greg

    Whos into home grown

Ours has varied. Some didn't produce as much as typical. Cucumbers were tops. I canned close to 70 jars of dill and bread and butter pickles. Jalapenos have been coming in slow enough that the wife had me combine with cherry peppers (she also liked the aesthetics). Tomatillos were also...

    LandGlide app

Might be obvious, but this is what I was referring to above. Nearby landmarks with "well defined" boundaries can give a good indication how far it is off in that particular area. I like to look for 4 way intersections. FWIW. Greg

    LandGlide app

If you can zoom out and look at a nearby intersection or similar, it should give you an idea if there is a GIS/aerial mismatch, and if so, how far off in each direction.

    ROP Bar - Light Mounts

I used the accessory lighting connector under the left fender on my L3901. I run 2 of these 60W Nilights off it with no issue. I mentioned earlier in the thread installing with nylon washers so I could reach up and pivot them around. Super handy. I end up doing that a lot. Good luck. Greg

Cell phone mount for open station tractor

Had to come back to this post to give props. Saw it a while back and tucked away the idea to mount on my L3901 joystick plastic. Lots of seat time lately so I've been itching to get it installed. I used a ram style mount and a springy holder. My preferred holder is no longer available, and...

    Diesel Transfer Tank Build

I like it. Are those wheel chocks? Clearing land is what's making me jealous of your tank solutions. Not in the cards for me at the moment though. Greg

    Rainy Day Fun

That's impressive I like this observation, and agree with it. I'm not very proficient, but have managed to turn out a few nice things. I had done fabrication for so long, welding things on, drilling things out, grinding things off. But then I was introduced to blacksmithing and it was this...

Same. My wife won't let me throw practice pieces away, and will put them on public display. 🤷‍♂️

Lets see your weld on bucket hooks

My thought process is that connecting a chain across hooks aligned with the loader arms, assuming you could even get perfect force distribution, would be equivalent to connecting to a hook mounted dead center on a rigid steel bucket. Built-in perfect force distribution. This does assume the...
