Leaving kubota L3302DT in four wheel drive

Mine's in 4wd unless I've noticed I'm destroying the "lawn" around the abode. Surely 2wd is less impactful, but I personally never get far without needing to engage 4wd...where it stays until the next "lawn" incident...

    Roundup active ingredient change

I had heard things over the last couple years leading me to believe I'd stop seeing Roundup on the shelves before long. Well, apparently instead of it just going away, they quietly changed the active ingredient from glyphosate to triclopyr, in the residential product. Wish I'd noticed before...

I just bought my first tractor!

How 'bout we check back in a year ;) Welcome to the club. Only had mine a few years, but it has proven to be quite the swiss army knife. (y)(y)

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

We were approaching our driveway tonight and I thought maybe I saw an owl land on a limb. Crept forward, opened the sunroof, and got this pic. More curious than scared...

    seeding after land clearing

Thanks for all the input. I ended up getting a good price on some rye at the local farmer's co-op. That was weeks ago and still no rain in these parts. 🤞🌧 Thank you for the heads up on this. While I'm admittedly skeptical about bringing the government in on managing my land, it certainly...

    1" Coil Rod

I consider myself lucky that my wife encourages my collecting "project metal." It's partially because she knows it may be needed in some future project, but mostly in hopes that it will end up in some rusty yard art. I thought maybe coil rod was another name for threaded rod until I googled...

    What's cookin' boys?

👆 Looks like my wife's choice in the foreground and mine in the background.👆 Piernas Locas (crazy legs) from local carniceria. Nicely seasoned thighs and legs cut in half "flat ways". Okra w/hot cherry peppers wok'd in bacon grease:

My friend sent me a heads-up this afternoon to be on the lookout for "Comet A3". Before I had time to look it up, my wife sent me this pic from SC. Supposed to get easier to see in coming days. Locate it live using Stellarium app (free) and search for "Tsuchinshan." This was a good succinct...

Searching for a good trouble light.

Too funny. My last Trouble Light with an incandescent bulb had a plastic housing and the whole time I'd be under a vehicle or some other inconvenient location, I'd be smelling/breathing smoldering plastic.

    seeding after land clearing

Thanks. Ultimately I just want something other than dirt sooner than later, but I'm not willing to spend much to get it. Wasn't sure if there was some standard issue seed good for this purpose. I know a bit about lawn grasses, but no experience with starting a field. I might check out local...

    seeding after land clearing

I've been slowly clearing land along our larger creek. It was pasture in a previous life, but had been let go for probably 15 or more years before we got it. In the areas I cleared in the past, some type of grass eventually filled in. I've been considering expediting it this time with some...
