    Paint

I have only used the rattle cans of the same stuff. It matches the colour well. It chips and scratches easier than factory. But easy enough to respray if I was too concerned. My tractor sits outside so faded and showing it's age. Maybe the quart will be a little tougher if it's on a little...

    Headphones

My daughter got me a pair of ear muffs for Christmas a few years back, from Canadian tire. I think they are Stanley. They have am/fm plus a 1/8" jack for mp3. I don't turn them up too loud so I can easily hear the tractor for noises. I'm amazed at how crisp and clean they are for a budget set...

    L48tlb-hst

Doesn't sound normal to me. Forward and reverse both sound the same on mine (same tractor). The only time mine starts to make any sort of whine, is in high range once everything gets wound up to high rpms. Does it make the same whine in low range going forward? The ground speed isn't much...

What kind of fitting is this?

If you have a set of calipers, measure the diameter and verify if the threads are straight or tapered. The next big help would be check the thread pitch. If I had it to guess if it's parallel. I'm thinking it's 1/4"-19 BSPP. A standard thread pitch gauge won't mesh properly, but you can...

    TL720 loader bucket cylinder

A local machine shop should be able to make you a new rod. Depending how handy you are, it's up to you who rebuilds it. There are lots of threads and videos on how to do it. Once you rebuild your first one, the next one is easy!

    Piranha Toothbar

Not to defend them for not replying but considered what they're going thru. Probably the last 4 months a good part of the shop was dead slow and laid off. Now because the weather finally is starting to come around, everyone that has ordered a custom fit tool all within a 4 week window. I'm...

    CV Boot size chart?

Give this a shot. I Googled CV boot catalog. This was the first one that came up. 24 pages of boots by size, then lists what cars they fit. I'll be looking up mine the next to I need to change one. It is a PDF download...

.... safety switches? On the verge of tripping or failing altogether?

Kubota L48 TLB - cheaper alternatives to factory 3-point hitch

You are correct about the parts being specific to the L48. I went to three different dealers to have them look up the parts then try to reverse look them up to see what other machine those would fit, none! Not even superseded to a new part number. When I bought my 2000 L48 at a dealer, they...

Converting a tiller to flail mover.

My first thought, like you said, is that it wouldn't have enough rpm. Look at how easy a tiller wraps weeds and roots around itself. If it was pully driven, you may be able to reverse them to step up the speed. Not sure that things are designed or balance for higher rpms. Experiment at your own...

    Hill climb?

Damn!!! I think I'd have trouble walking up and down that! Looks like it'd make a killer bobsled run. Lol

Which would you get and why?

Just did a quick Kijiji search and came up with another consideration for you. I have no affiliation with the seller, just throwing it out there. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-heavy-equipment-machinery/annapolis-valley/kubota-b26-tractor-loader-backhoe/1413705555?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

Which would you get and why?

Welcome to the forum. What part of Nova Scotia are you in? If you check out 'GP outdoors' on YouTube, he uses a B2601 (one size up) for all sorts of stuff including hauling wood and clearing a very long driveway. He does a lot of reviews on various attachments to give you an idea of the...

Jerky hydraulics when lowering boom only.

Mine does it at times with a load. Never narrowed it down to when or why. I suspect mine has to do with the auto level block, it's out of adjustment and just haven't made the time to fix it. Does your loader have auto level? Might help narrow down where to look.

    L4200 ssqa

If you're going to weld on a ssqa plate to your existing bucket, pay attention to the angle. The previous owner of mine just welded it to the flatest part of the bucket. Now it can't curl back to 45 degrees like it should. I can't scoop a full load like it should. It's on my to-do list to fix or...

    Daily Chuckle

Sorry, I thought I was teaching my daughter right..... The same way I was taught by my Dad. I had to learn to drive on a standard. Every vehicle in the yard was a stick so it was by default. It worked well for me so I figured my kids should do the same.

Kubota generator shuts off after cranking

Maybe I'm thinking too simple but.... We had a zoom boom at work that would start but immediately shut down. 3 other people tried to figure it out. Long story short, even though the dipstick said there was enough oil, because they had it parked on a slight incline, the sensor wasn't reading...

    Front fenders..

I don't remember who but someone on here built a set from black plastic 55 gal drums. The brackets were made to bolt to the knuckle so would steer and pivot with the wheels. So it depends on what kind of room there is on your knuckles where you can mount solid to. As far as the barrel being...

    L48 Transmission slower going forward

I'm not sure if its just me but when I went to adjust everything, I needed to re read this about 5 times to get it straight. At the end I made a quick sketch of the rods and just wrote the lengths that they're supposed to be. They could have made it a lot simpler to follow. ...check rod 1 which...
