Thanks, I wanted a gear drive but I need a live pto. I like the looks of those new R4 tires. I am sure the timing adjustment helped a lot. Just frustrating you have to pull a new tractor apart.

One salesman ran the glow plugs for a long time, They want me to buy it, then they will "fix" it. Any other problems besides the cold start? Thanks

Thank you, It has been a problem for a while, you would think they would have fixed it by now. Not sure why they made so many changes from the L2501 engine? Maybe I should keep the one I got,,,,

Thanks, I am looking to buy one but want it fixed before I do, there is a bulletin now, one dealer read part of it to me but would not give me a copy of it. Another dealer says they have never heard of problem and says he could not find the bulletin?

This has nothing to do with the glow plugs, it is a pump timing issue

Anyone have the bulletin from Kubota on the L2502 smoking on cold start? A number or copy would be great.

Wondering how the new trac loader II r4 tires are working out? I also see they now offer a larger tire option R14 tire size. I had the smaller R14 tires on my L2501 and they dug up the yard worse than the r4, maybe the wider R14 would be better? Thanks

I have owned tractors with both systems, I don't mind the treadle pedal at all. Looked at a John Deere 3025e once and all the salesman could talk about was the two pedals, I said well at least it has something going for it!

I have always plowed snow in medium range , I use the bucket no blade on the front.

Somebody forgot the bolts, that is something the dealer should have done , easy fix.

It is a power steering box, much like older cars and trucks used

It uses a gear box for steering, I have owned three L2501 and a l3200 which shares most parts with the l2501

The L2501 doesn't have hydrostatic steering , so you can straighten the wheel and it will stay straight.
