Overall weight limit of a B6000

I was told by the salesman at the dealer that the BX series had a frame as strong as the L3200 I was purchasing to handle the backhoe, but no matter how I looked at it, any hoe larger than what came on a BX25D was going to do damage to the machine. I would be wary of anything larger than what...

Overall weight limit of a B6000

You could always fab up a tow mount for the backhoe and buy a separate engine/pump unit for it. Towable backhoes are just as useful as tractor mounted ones for most things and sometimes they can get into spots a tractor can't. For a small backhoe unit, it's not a bad option.

    L48

If your gasket blew in such a way as to dump exhaust or compression right into the water jacket, I'm unaware of a radiator cap built that could vent that kind of gas build up. Just a head gasket is usually a day long job and not too bad, but odd that it blew like that. Double check where it...

    B219 FEL Bucket Cylinders

A good machine shop can cut down rams and cylinders but the cost may be around the same for new. They can't add length though (not reliably anyway) and so you can do some things to make them longer. Buy longer rams. The stroke will be the same length but you'll adjust the action of the item...

Advise for giving tractor a bath?

Then they are pressure washing them wrong. Some folks whip out a 0° nozzle and go to town and that's just plain dangerous to the unit, the paint and everything, also unnecessary. 15-20° nozzle is good for washing. In really harsh spots and when I don't care about the paint (sometimes I do...

    L3800 oil change

I have done both styles, hot and cold engine. I prefer the cold engine just to keep it easy to handle but I still start the engine to mix the contaminants up a bit. Particles are supposed to be trapped by your filter. If your filter is in bypass, you are waiting to long to change your oil...

    L3200 Bucket Cylinders

My read of that was the lift cylinders are not coming up at the same time causing a misalignment of the loader when trying to put it back on the brackets. I could be totally wrong on that interpretation of it. Sounds like the loader was left on uneven ground or the tractor isn't level when...

Advise for giving tractor a bath?

I use Tide to degrease with. Foam it up with a hose 'spray' mixer (like for grass fertilizing) and then let sit for an hour and pressure wash everything off. The oil and grease melts off. My grandfather and father NEVER cleaned our D-17 and it was a total grease/oil/diesel/dirt clod...

    please helppp

I think he's asking for disassemble/reassemble advice for the water pump on the unit NI Wolfman. BBF1911- It's common on most tractors to have to tear pretty deep into the unit to make a 'comfortable' removal of a Water pump, but if it has a large enough gap between the engine and the...

    Brake-In RPM's for First 50 Hours?

If you have the same L32000 as I have... there is a little pedal on the floor board that if you push it down, the motor revs up. It's an additional throttle but unlike the main 'fixed' throttle it is spring return so it goes back down to the main throttle setting. I don't have a picture of it...

    L175 - Fuel Injector Problem

If the line is short enough you can use a long pipe cleaner as well. If you're getting algae or something you have too much water in your fuel system.

    Blinking hour meter

On a normal vehicle a P336 code is some kind of cam/crank sensor or issue. I don't think Tractors conform to ODBII codes so I'd take it back to the dealer and ask 'what's up doc?'

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Backfiring is caused from only a few items. Those are covered here: http://www.ehow.com/list_6402725_causes-engine-carburetor-backfire.html With that low of time engine, I'd suspect fuel flow issues or needing a good carb cleaning... a really good one. Get a new carb kit for the engine and...

    B7100HST banjo fitting leak

If you can find one that fits, spark plug style compressable washers can be used too. Copper takes more force to compress down. Another option might be to oversize the internal hole of the washer to fit a Viton O-Ring between the bolt and the washer. Normally that's a quick field repair but...

    Brake-In RPM's for First 50 Hours?

Most of the time anything over 2400 is a waste of fuel on a diesel engine. Your max efficiencies are had at 2100-2400, so going wide open is unnecessary even after the engine is broken in. Puttering around sub 1800 is also not really efficient unless you're waiting for something and you are...

L225 PTO stops when tiller comes in contact with ground

Well there is usually a clutch in the transmission itself someplace to run the PTO but it almost sounds like it's popped out of gear and won't go back in... Could be fussy linkage from the PTO engage, or anything along those lines. Clean the assemblies up and do maintenance on them and see if...

flame shooting like a pulling tractor!!!

Sounds like an old tractor to me! My D-17 throws visible sparks at night and that engine is so tired it can't start without help. It has a similar stack setup to what you have there... She's a much older 'orange' tractor...

    PTO won't disengage - L3200

Yeah, I like dry silicone on most parts, but on the body and other accessible parts furniture polish, oddly enough, works great. Also, any of the 'spray on' motorcycle cleaners that are petroleum based should work well.

    B2920 won't turn over.

In winter you should have a battery on a maintainer that will keep the battery 'warm'. Summer there isn't much you can do for them... :(
