So my neighbour stopped by after I was done testing it out and I mentioned having to go get a chain,, what does he do? Goes to his garage and returns with a chain!, So this is done till spring. I used carabiners since I have 4 heavy duty ones.
this post is going to be picture heavy. I have decided to call is the SSQA-V. Definitely need to get a chain. But I had to try it with the cheap ratchet strap, it broke twice and I just tied it back together. With the atv I would have to do the driveway in sections, the weight of the tractor let...
Plow update so at least we got that part right. It’s designed so I didn’t have to modify my plow so that if I ever need to I can pop the pins out and still use it on my atv.
here is the atv bracket. The factory pins were held in with cotter pins but I will use a linch pin or something similar...
That’s pretty cool, the bracket attached under the rear of the box. Is that to prevent the frame from tipping when you dump it? Too much rear weight will just lift the 3pt up.
Failure update....
So it doesn’t fit my BX23s.... I need to widen it by 1/4”. I thought that ssqa was supposed to be standardized?.?? We used his tractor (50 ish hp kiot) as the template. It’s ssqa is 44” my BX loader ssqa is 44 1/4” a failure on my part as I didn’t measure mine as I assumed...
absolutely. I talked to my local dealer about that. Kubota Canada wants you to have to talk to a dealer just to get prices. We spent a few days going back and forth discussion price and options when I wanted a blower. i said it would be a lot faster for both of us, if I could hop on the kubota...
I sent that clip to a friend of mine who used to operate a grader for snow removal for the city, he asked if I could build him one. Lol I said if he had enough money I could make the time.
Thank! However, cant call it awesome till it’s done. Or at least I’ve put it on the tractor and put the plow on it. Lol
not sure if I will paint it black or kubota orange.
So the ssqa to plow bracket is all done, I cant Paint till the weather warms up. So far it’s only got 2 functions, a receiver bracket and a snow plow bracket. I will get the plow blade on later and take a couple more pictures.
My dsl is crap, lucky to hit 1.8-2mbps. I signed up for the starlink beta, got my email they are stating 50-150mbps with 40ms latency. But..... they want $649 for hardware, 129/month and 65 for shipping.
Started too soon, I’m 1 45” piece short on making the frame and it’s been snowing non stop all day. So at least I got to use the tractor. My steel guy said he is pretty sure he still has some of the 1/4” 2x3 in stock but I won’t be able to probably grab it till Friday.
I have some leftover 1/4wall 2x3 left over from a frame repair. Decided im going to make an adapter/mount for my loader. Primary function will be to attach my 60” atv plow that’s currently manual angle, but will eventually get a power angle added. Figured since it just a matter of welding tabs...
it will depend on your provincial and municipal laws. For example where I live, I’m required to make sure my rural mailbox is accessible. I use my tractor or atv to clear the snow around the mailboxes.i also plow or snowblow 50’ ish down the road before my driveway so that the plow is dropping...
