    Emergency brake

Hey that's a good thought. I'll check the braking action as I plow another storm heading our way tonight.

    Emergency brake

I operated the tractor today for about 15 mins. moving forward and backwards with the emergency brake on. I was moving quite slowly so I didn't notice anything wrong until I smelled a burning smell. What do you think? any potential issues? Thanks!

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

It was actually yesterday, I got to work out my back blade plowing snow. I used a 72" back blade on my Bx2360 and it work like a champ. Since I won't be moving earth with the BB, 72" works just right and gets the job done in a lot less time.

Thanks guys! It was a fun project. I'm now ready to get in that barn and work on the inside. The really cool part is that the fields below the barn are sunny and picturesque which we now will enjoy more than ever.

    Removing Stumps

I cleared out some brush and just want to be able to mow over it but the stumps will certainly destroy my MMM. The stumps are not pine, not sure what they are, just some kind of garbage deciduous trees. Thanks for your reply. I appreciate your take on it.

    Removing Stumps

Any of you guys with a BX2360 or similar have any ideas on the best way to remove stumps? I'm beginning to think I could use a BH. The shovel attachments for the bucket look like a good way to waste a bucket. I have maybe a dozen stumps to remove mostly 10" of less. As usual thanks for...

    Good price on this Bushhog?

I had a 48" woods and it seemed way to big for my Bx2360. Ask if you can try it out. p.s. good price though. Mine was yellow, wonder if it was a diff model.

Thanks guys! I really enjoyed the project and the windows brought welcomed light into the barn. I find myself going out there to organize tools, start new projects, service my tractor, etc. and being able to re-purpose so much material was great. I too am a sucker for rustic wood but I have...

    BX 2370 Limits

What I discovered is that 4wd will help a lot on slopes and will allow you to break going straight down. I had a runaway down a hill which taught me a lot.

Needed to re-side the southern exposure of my barn (boards were cupped so bad you could see daylight thru the siding and the dutch doors were, well they just fell apart when I unscrewed them.) and build a shed for my tractor. We used to have llamas and horses when the kids were small but now...

    Re-using Tire Ballast, Possible?

If you use something non corrosive, why use the tube? So easy to plug a tubeless tire.

    Re-using Tire Ballast, Possible?

Well, it's not exactly flat just dented real bad. I didn't notice a leak, strange I know. Thanks for the tube idea. What if I just put in air and use rear ballast when using the FEL.

    Chevy or Dodge???

Hey Daren, I just bought a new 2014 chevy silverado. I have to say it's the nicest truck I've ever owned. I would recommend that you check the gearing of the rear end. If you're going to tow much you will definitely want the 3.42 rear end or better. It gets just about the same mileage and...

    Re-using Tire Ballast, Possible?

First of all the dealer I bought my tractor from repaired a tire that's been leaking since day one. That repair was $105 to patch the inside and refill. I went out this morning to notice the tire was flat again. I called Messick's this morning and ordered two new tires and wheels for $108...

Thanks, not quite done yet but I'll continue to post pics. I'm actually creating a home for the tractor and a workshop for my wife. There's also a section for me. We used to have llamas and horses when the kids were little. But those days of cvaring for livestock are gone.

anybody with bx1870 wish they had bigger?

You'll love the extra help that the FEL provides. It's like having a son around that's mighty strong and always willing to help as long as you need him. There are things I move around the property, dirt I work, undergrowth I keep in check, and dozens of other task that I previously didn't...
