I was bored a few days ago and decided to throw this together.

help, cant find front drive shaft for loader pump

I had the same arrangement on my L185DT, purchased about 35 years ago in Redmond, Oregon. I would not want to bet that the adaptor, pump and reservoir were Kubota products. Try measuring the front spline shaft and counting the teeth, measure the pump shaft, measure the length, and head for a...

New Member from Northern Ontario, Canada here

Welcome to OTT! Your 2850 should serve you well for years and years! Definitely go for a block heater- even if you don't have a lot of trouble starting, it only causes pain to run them while the block is really cold... You would be well served to put on a power outlet and consider an electric...

    L3200

The L3200 should be plenty big. The 3800 just has more horses, but you really don't need them unless you want to run a big tiller or bush hog, or pull something fast through the ground. I had to slow down a fair number of times with my 5' bush hog on the L185, right down to 1st, - with the...

I've solved the anti-clock pto issue on my B6000, well for me anyway...

Great Job!! I'm always impressed by the willingness to pull that first bolt out of the tractor beginning such a wild-as*ed project! To have it all work must be a thrill!! Now all you need is a fire sale on a B6000 with a destroyed rear end! Of course, then you'll have the reverse PTO problem...

Adapting a FEL to fit my tractor?

I had a Kubota loader on my old L185DT. It had a 48" bucket, and that was about all the tractor could handle. Using the tractor hydraulics, it was SLOW. I think they put out about 3 gpm. I put a front pump and external reservoir on the tractor/loader, and the speed was fine. I believe about...

    Tractor Covers

I'm leaning toward one of those cheap canvas car port/awning things for about $150. Not too expensive, should last a couple of years, and by then maybe I'll be able to do better, or quit caring. A big plus is if I put it on concrete, the attachments will probably fare better and be easier to...

Well. its all back together now, and, its works.....

I like the way you did the rear hydraulic ports! I never seem to have the patience to do such a terrific job. Well done! Thanks for the pics...

    hydraulic three point bale loader

You might try a couple of check valve flow control valves on that hydraulic top link. I put them on my backhoe swing cylinder, to slow it WAY down - takes almost a minute to fully extend or retract. They only cost about $50 each. Line them up to inhibit the flow back to the reservoir. The...

    L175 newbie!

I really never left my tractor in reverse for any length of time. I'd just hold it in gear until it gives up the ghost. A steering wheel knob can help with steering while you do it - you can get nice KUBOTA spinner knobs on ebay cheap. I would buy the parts while I can get them, however. It...

    What is a Kioti tractor?

With a nickel's worth of smarts and $100 in parts you can fix the charging system - in the worst case it is probably the alternator - best case is a loose connection. The deal is, so can he. If the tractor is so great, why sell it so cheap? If a deal is too good to be true, proceed with...

    Weights?

My garden area is fenced in to keep out deer. If the FEL bucket is all the way up, the tractor wants to tip over. If it is down, it snags the fence. If it is off, it is Wonderful! After being stuck with the FEL on the old 185 for some 35 years, the quick attach feature of the new Kubotas is...

    Rear blade refurb

After 30+ years I thought my Rhino blade needed cleaning up. So I disassembled it, sandblasted off the rust and old paint, and added some brackets for hydraulic angle control. Then I painted it - orange, naturally - and stuck on some decals from ebay. When I bought the tractor I had the dealer...

    Weights?

I have an L3200, with a 5' Wards - yes, WARDS, as in Montgomery - bush hog on it. The front tires are filled. I added about 270lbs of weight to the front end, shaped something like a bumper. I ran a thread on it a few weeks ago. Kubota says you can put 275lbs of suitcase weights on it, so I...

    Ag Tires?

I don't believe R4's are any better than turf in snow/ice. Chains are easier to install on turf tires, and end up being much more effective. AGs are best if you can reach the gravel. If you end up needing chains on them, they try to slip in between the groves, or are very expensive.:(

    Tires on L235

Kubota uses a lot of TITAN tires. This link is a typical tire in your size. http://www.titanstore.com/info/412379. They should also have whatever you need for the back. I think skid steer and trac loader are common names for the machinery that uses industrial tires and QA attachments. Things...

    Front weights

Yesterday I was rolling an eight hundred pound rock uphill and it came back and smashed the front weight/bumper. Jarred the poop out of me.... If it wasn't for the bumper I'm sure I'd be looking at a pretty good repair bill - it was trying for the steering pump and mechanism.

    First 50 hr service

I've read through this thread, and let it sway me a bit on the service. I'm having the dealer do the service - I want to toss him some business every now and then - I'd be in a bind if he went under and I needed a part or something. I also want the paper trail the first time around. And I'll...

    Snow Plow For L48

I tried putting my Rhino blade on my FEL years ago. Built the angle frame & pivot, etc. Frankly it didn't work worth a darn. My drive is rutty gravel on a hill. The blade ended up so far in front that the geometry was never right. The blade was way too high one minute, digging in the next...
