Possibly, with the PTO switch engaged you will hear it click while turning the key on but nothing will happen turning the key to the start position. Just reread your first post what is clicking? If a safety switch is the issue there shouldn’t be anything clicking. Is the starter solenoid clicking?

Is the PTO engaging and disengaging with the switch while the key is on? Hard do diagnose over the internet. Break out the test light and multimeter

Safety switches are in the seat, each motion control levers and parking brake. And of course PTO switch has to be disengaged.

Found this on another forum. “Independent IS live, but live is NOT always independent. Live simply means the PTO keeps running when you disengage the wheel-drive. With the Deere 1020, it's done with a two-stage engine-clutch.”

Both Kubota MX5100, MX6000, and M6060 brochures show the PTO as live independent

When I lean to the right on my MX it will stop the engine due to the safety switch on the bottom on the left side of the seat. I haven’t bothered disconnecting it because it’s a gear drive and I’m not the only one that drives it. I’ll take the risk of it cutting off than it running over someone.
