    2 Bottom Plow ID

Picked this up today. I searched the net trying to identify, but found nothing. I HAD a Ferguson 2-14 that my farm chewed up and spit out. Turned the triangle from the top link mount down into a pretzel. Anyway, saw this on CL and it looked pretty stout in the pictures and it was even...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Thanks! I don't plant between the beds as the pumpkins will fill that space pretty well by August, and yes the hills are seeded. I try to plant my buckwheat 10-12 weeks out from Labor Day normally (for fall planting), but I got some in a little early because I like to plant my turnips in...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Spent the last 2 days working out the M4050 putting in my final spring plantings - pumpkin patch and deer food plots . The first 2 areas are the least rocky on my property so I broke up the soil with a subsoiler, then pulled the cultivator and finally tilled. Spread fertilizer and planted...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

My time on the B7100 got cut short yesterday. A buddy and I were doing some maintenance and mowing at our hunting property. I had the B with my 4' brush hog and he had a tracked Bobcat with a 6' bucket and 6' (evil :))brush hog. I was cutting our existing roads/trails and he was opening and...

    Pole saws

Have the Greenworks 40v pole saw. Been using for about 2 years now for food plots/lanes on hunting properties. I believe I got it for $140 on amazon and it's been great. I keep the chain very sharp and it hasn't let me down yet. Since it worked so well, I've added the blower, vacuum, and...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Spent the day on the M4050 yesterday. Sprayed 2 new acres of food plots with glyphosate to plant buckwheat in a few weeks, and sprayed 2 acres of current clover/chicory plots with liquid fertilizer and clethodim for grasses. Disced up another acre or so and planted buckwheat then cultipacked...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Not today, but the last few (weeks), I installed a hydraulic top link on the M4050. The one that came with the tractor didn't extend enough for the rear discs to be level, and the convenience is nice also. The 4050 has been getting a workout, 2 acres of new food plots were brush hogged...

RTR2570 - Mechanic keeps saying it’s too big for my L4310

Are you sure the coolant was boiling? I would remove the radiator cap and start the tractor cold and see if the coolant starts bubbling/rolling while it is warming up, which could show that you have a head gasket or head issue. Good luck.

    Used attachment prices?!

I've been looking for a 3 point set of discs for 2 years. When I started, I could have bought a 6'-6.5' from Rural King or TSC for around $2k. They are around $2,800 today with crazy lead times. Either the price for used was where I wanted to be, but the discs were non-adjustable and angle...

How often do you trailer your tractor?

I trailer my M4050 twice a year. Out to the farm in the spring and back to the house in the fall. I trailer my B7100 6 or so times a year to my farm and hunting lease. I borrow an equipment trailer from work to for the M4050, but my 12' utility trailer hauls the B, along with pumpkins in the...

    Starter Issue

Did a quick diagnosis yesterday. (Just been working thru the starting issue). I had a buddy tap on the starter while I was engaging the starter with no success. Put a meter on the battery while engaging the starter and the voltage drop was a few 10ths. Battery started at ~12.9v and dropped to...

    Starter Issue

Had the head replaced last year and my mechanic had some trouble getting the fuel system primed to restart after getting everything back together. I think the original starter may have been 'overworked' during that situation. Once I got the tractor back, I installed new battery cables (+ & -)...

    Starter Issue

Started last year, but only after the tractor (M4050) was warmed up to operating temp. If I shut down, when I tried to restart I could hear a dull sound of the starter trying to engage. After a few more tries, it would catch and start. Now, it's happening more frequently and happened...

    Anyone here serious about coffee?

Started about 10 years ago when I had french press at a restaurant before a Steeler game. It was delicious. My normal was a pot (or so) of any store bought coffee all morning. After that, the OCD kicked in and did my research on how to make a good pot of french press. Lead me to buy a couple...

Do you keep area just for kids?

Built a playhouse/swing set for the kids when we first moved to our house and the kids were little. They also had a trampoline and run of the property. Have a creek that runs thru also, but is dry most of the summer. Heavy rains made some fun times for the kids. Fast forward to present, kids...

Anyone have or used Befco attachments?

When I bought my B7100 (used) a few years ago, the dealer threw in a 4' Befco Brush Hog. It was in ok shape and estimate 70's or '80's build. Put a coat of paint on it and I welded a couple patches in the deck this spring and it's been great, especially for the price.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Hauled the M4050 and tiller out to my farm after a winter of maintenance and some rewiring. Reset the slip clutch on my 7' brush hog and then set up for cutting. Cut the lane and trails/roads thru the property, cut an existing 1.5 acre clover and rye grain food plot, and then reclaimed about...

Picture of your tractor on your trailer

M4050 all maintenanced and ready to be dropped at the farm. Spring brush hogging today and hopefully I can get my pumpkin patch and 2 new food plots ready and planted by memorial day.
