Looking for Non-CDL Dump Truck Recommendations

You might look into a 2500 diesel truck then have a dump bed mounted to avoid CDL criteria. If you are going to push snow then I assume you would be paid. If there is an exchange, "paid", then it can also be classed in some states as commercial business therefore requiring a CDL due to...

    Average age of OTT users?

This is a cool thread. 47 now so I have the rest of this below average time to prepare to become average then I can still look forward to reaching above average as long as I don't turn the tractor over and get killed :eek::eek: :D

L260 clutch sticking without the block?

This disclaimer also applies to your new tractor?  I guess my thinking now is the L260 must be no different from the norm and that geo-moisture can rise into any bell housing. The owner of this L260 must have left it in the rain or around moisture since he experienced this. The dry...

L260 clutch sticking without the block?

How is it that the moisture seems more of an issue for this L260 than say my L175? Is there supposed to be the same block for my L175 and I just don't know about it? I haven't had this prob with mine but mine doesn't sit on the ground where moisture can rise up into it.

L260 clutch sticking without the block?

Well I haven't been around in a while and at this juncture in time I'm looking at selling my L175 to move into an L260. So I looked at this L260 and he tells me about the clutch sticking if it sets for a long time without the block stuck behind the pedal. HUH ????????? THat really threw me. My...

    L175 No 3 point lift

3pt arms fly up normally with no problem so the articulating with the mower could be coincidence even though that was about the time of the problem.

help removing front electric clutch pack

Re: Need new clutch coil! Help! Same exact thing that the old 70-80's Ford AC systems used. My old B6000E had a clutch h quit and an old Ford AC clutch was a perfect match.....and cheaper.

    New owner of Z482 engine.

Wow that was fast on the pics. :D The paint on the block and the blue on the rod really show that front cylinder got very hot. The piston looks scorched too. Wow that thing was so hot I would be very guarded about the head. Definately check it for cracks.

    Paint help please.

I think I remember some talk about paint codes a few years ago but I don't know if anyone produced them. That would be great if you post them up here. I wound up going with the dealer rattle crap. It is good quality material but one never knows the age of the can or how it has been kept, not to...

    New owner of Z482 engine.

That is the spirit, hang in there and it will be worth it in the end. When I was digging into the problems of my engine I really hated that it got major but I'm on the other side of a full build back and I love it. Once you get it done you will love it too. Don't cut any corners because it is...

A couple of Quick L235 Restoration Questions?!?

Well this is kind of what restoration is like sometimes... your own digging gets the best results. Some tractor yard searches may get you what you need. When I did my L175 the forums here and some bone yards got it for me. Good luck and congrats on the old orange.

    L4630 fuse blows during travel

You can also try what is known as the "wiggle" test: with the key on just as it is while driving, wiggle tug and pull on the wire loom where ever you can reach it to see if you can make the fuze blow. This can be done with the engine on or off. At the point of the fuse blowing then you know you...

Somebody didn't get their Kubota Delivery That Day

I work with a man who has ridden it three times. He has scrapes on the pipes of his HD and said a couple of times the back slid when the pipes hit the road.  I ain't ridden it either but when/if I do I will be very cautious!!! It looks beautiful but I don't think it is worth dieing for.

    L185DT 3 point lift problem

I almost did when I got mine because of a broke bolt. It drilled out so I didn't have to disassemble anything. I think your on the right track since the flow and control are all in that top cover. Have you checked the rock shaft and the control shaft of the 3pt lever very well? Those are base...

    Kubota L175

Have owned this tractor for about 5 years and used the NAPA filerts the whole time. I also used them on my B6000 before this one Napa has good parts as they strive to meet mfgr specs pretty strongly. Others like Baldwin and Frame are what are refered as dual pass filters. That means the oil...

    Kubota L175

Welcome to OTT and congrats on the Orange tractor. :) Prices like that mean the dealer is charging full list price. I didn't like that kind of business relationship from the dealer near me so I searched for reasonable options that were viable for the Orange tractor to function as designed. I...

Tow Vehicle?? What do you tow your Kubota with??

GVWR increase should never be attempted with adapters in my book either but where the springs and chassis are good for more but the wheels/tires are the restriction, such as in my case, the wheel/tire change can be effective for a GVWR increase. I have solid enough suspension plus my air bag...
