For any of you lucky folks out there with a fairly intact (and original) L235 I am in need of some answers I have not been able to find on the web or from my local Kubota dealer.

1. I need the part number off of the 2-speed PTO label. The Ill. Parts List and dealer only have only been able to find the single speed that went w/ the 2 stage clutch.

2. I need to know the dimensions of the screws that keep the taillight lenses attached to the backing plate of the unit.

If any of have have this information or can get me these answers it would my me feel all Orange and fuzzy inside. Thanks muchly!

I do not always drive a tractor, but when I do I prefer. to drive Kubotas. Stay Orange my friends!

Well this is kind of what restoration is like sometimes... your own digging gets the best results. Some tractor yard searches may get you what you need. When I did my L175 the forums here and some bone yards got it for me.
Good luck and congrats on the old orange.

Yup little by little. That is the same way I found all of my Kubotas as well. I think I have to send a birthday card to my kubota parts guy and the girl at western Ky parts.

Try this. go to the illustrated parts lookup, click through all the permissions and type in l235. click above the results, for book then on the side click on by name, type in pto label and you get several results. maybe one is what your looking for as there are 27 labels listed and 4 are for the PTO.

Good luck.

I've looked at all my manuals and Parts list and can not find that particular label for the PTO, though they seem to show many labels (Many with no real description as to what they say), none that appear to be for the PTO.

As far as the Tail Light screws, same thing. Shows everything EXCEPT the screws for the lens. I needed the same screws and eventually made mine. The problem is not so much with the proper thread but with the size of the head to fit in the lens. Just find a screw that will thread in and has the proper length and grind the head down. The way I did it was to put the screw into a drill, turn on grinder and let the drill rotate the screw against the grinder to get an even roundness of the head.

Hope this helps.

I was just looking at my Bota, not really looking for anything and noticed that there was a Part # printed on my PTO label. It is: 35200-24951. Problem is that when I looked up the #, nothing came up through Messicks. There is probably another way to cross reference the number that I haven't tried. In any case, maybe this # will get you to where you need in finding it.
