I can understand the root rake does not meet your needs. There are grapples designed for logging that have a different design. The LP and EA are very similar in design and function. My understanding is that grapple is suited for the BX line not the L series. I have SGC0660 coming for my L2501. My buddy has same tractor and the 0660. It is pretty stout. I have used it and I was impressed.

Check out GP Outdoors on YouTube. That guy is in Canada and has your tractor. He does everything you are talking about with his. He recently just upgraded to the LX but I think that was for a cab not because the tractor was coming up short. You have a great machine.

Congrats. My L2501 arrived last Friday morning. I used the 84mo financing. Too good to pass up letting my money work for me else where. This was my retirement present from me. Leaving the AF after 23+ years. Already having fun with it. Now if it would just stop raining here in southern MS! Enjoy!

I have watched a ton of videos and a bunch from Messicks. Didn’t see the one on grease. Will check that out. Looks like the Moly grease from what y’all are saying is the way to go. Will pick that up. These things are way to expensive to not take proper care of them. Waited too long to get it!

So I just got my new Kubota L2501. It is my first tractor. Noticed you need a moly-lithium grease for every 10 hours. Will Red N Tacky do the trick or is this some special grease for the wear and tare of a tractor.

Hijack away! I know opening up the back end helps with discharging debris and it will clump up if closed like it comes from the factory. Just don’t know if it is worth the money to put those chains on.

Just purchased my first tractor, a Kubota L2501. I also have a Land Pride RCR1860. I have been told to just take the rear plate off the cutter but I also see you can get rubber or chain guards. I like the chain idea better but for $160+ that seems steep. Do you really need it? I will be well...
