    What's cookin' boys?

Tried something different today. Smoked stuffed mushrooms. My homemade bacon is in in them. Just pulled and resting. Spatchcock chicken up next.

    New grease gun recommendations please.

All my grease guns are 50+ yrs old. They work OK but I bit the bullet and got a battery powered unit. It makes quick work on lubing up both Orange and my other tools that have grease fittings. In the event the battery unit fails, I have the manual units to use. My biggest gripe with all the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

No, he’s in the right seat. Just trying tonfigur out how to turn the key. If you get a push button start, he’s gone.

    Stupid me

Mine was really loud but I had on my noise cancelling ear buds. Should have pulled one and listened closer.

    Stupid me

I played with it a bit. No lights on mine but when I set the parking brake using the leaver, the handle moves back almost to the off position while engaged. Time to do a parking brake adjustment. On the plus side, I did get all the rust and dirt off those brake drums!

    Stupid me

I usually use the FEL as my brake when stopped. Not like we have any hills around here.

    Stupid me

Was having issues yesterday with the B3200being sluggish and wrote it off to not having run it for a while. Turns out I had set the parking brake and forgot about it earlier in the afternoon. Saw it this morning as I went to pull out of the barn. I get the ID10t award. No issues with...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Day 3of easing back in to wood splitting. Today was splitting day. Use the FEL to get the rounds up to the splitter deck. Got a pallet full stacked 5’ high. Will drop some dead ash on a non windy day and continue on

    Barn Opener

Duck tape. The 100mph variety. Here’s a shot of the mounting. Bottom is bracket bolted to unit and attached to door frame opening. Top is coupling that attaches to door shaft. In my case that chart extends in to the unit at least 4”.

    Barn Opener

I was concerned with the mounting but this unit came with adjustable tabs that allow you to get the proper standoff and fit to the tube. Get everything level and lock it down.

    Barn Opener

Yeah. I held off until I got a good sale on Amazon for this one. My BIL pushes Liftmaster Elite. They are around 850. I was at 425 for this one. I could have lowered the price more if I didn’t get the built in Geni WiFi but I like the ability to get notified when a door is opened/closed and set...

    Barn Opener

Super quiet. The only sound is the motor spinning up and down as it starts and stops the door. I would put it at half the noise as with the belt drive unit.

    Barn Opener

This one came with a battery backup as did the ones on my other doors

Would you buy the same tractor again or a different one?

I went with a used B3200 that had around 89hrs on it in 2016. All service records since the dealer did it every year. Older gentleman had all fluids and filters changed annually. FEL was never used and only reattached when it was traded in. Pro’s 4 cyl, no emissions, low hrs (just rolled 250...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Mowed hopefully for the last time with the B1700. Battery is dead so on to the recharger to see if it can make it through the winter Will check tomorrow. On to the B3200 and picking up the rounds from Thursday. Sunny and mid 50’s today with a breeze. Perfect.

    Barn Opener

Put in an opener for the barn door today. Tried something different with the side mounted direct attached unit. No rail, chain or belt. Exponentially easier to get installed vs the traditional styles. I went with Genie since my other openers are Genies and I can use their mobile app for keeping...
