I bought my tractor for a deal bc it had this similar problem. We fabricated a brace out of 1/4 inch plate steel and welded it on to the frame. Drilled the holes and spot welded nuts on the back side. I will post pics tomorrow.

This collar is turned clockwise/counter clock wise. I will try once more to remove it as a whole unit. I will probably end up pulling it apart piece by piece. My snow blower has the pollar which is pulled/pushed. I will end up putting this one on. Will advise.

Lifting the 3pth all the way up when not in use is good practice. I didn't so this at first and the arms would swing and sometimes get caught on the tires while driving.
