    newbie cultivator question

Robert, I borrowed a tiller. Sorry for the confusion. The ground is wet as we have had considerable rain this week. I've lengthened then shortened the top link. Still only seems to be scraping the top layer. I will try adding weight. I will try posting a pic. Thanks guys

    newbie cultivator question

We are looking to prepare ground for tree planting. I've borrowed a friends cultivator with 1 rule, break ground first with my cultivator. I've done roughly 20 passes over the same ground and it does not appear to be biting any deeper into the earth. If it is getting deeper it's an inch an...

I bought a charcoal bbq a few years back and I've been hooked since. Earlier this year I found directions for building an Ugly Drum Smoker. It was the first day of the rest of my life! In essence it's a 55 gallon steel drum with a few modifications. I'm now cooking ribs, full chickens, pork...

Top hose is where the leak is. Can I use any rad hose or does it have to be Kubota? I'm tempted to go to the shop and buy a regular rad hose. Looking to buy the fuel filter tomorrow. I recall a video which mentions being able to change the filter without having to bleed the lines. Something...

    Jerky Loader on L2800

I had the same problem on my tractor. I cleaned the hydraulic suction filter as recommended by others. Shoudln't be the problem with only 23 hours, nice find. Problem I had was my buddy topped it up with gear oil instead of hydraulic oil. Did you recentley add oil? Keep us posted.

Sounds like a bizarre machine. I look forward to chatting with my Dad re: this tr9tor as it would interest him. How would you trouble shoot buddies no start problem? Needed some more info from him. IE: Is it turning over? I've had my L1801 since Aug 2 and am really happy with it. Use to take me...

I swapped out the oil filter last week thinking it was something else. Just draining the rear axel fluid now, will have it all changed out in 30 mins. Just noticed a rad leak...damn. Fuel filter will be replaced next week. Feels good getting all the fluids changed. Thabks for the advise.

Any luck? Scratch the spark plug idea, won't work on diesel engines.

That's A1 info Michael. I like the point you make comparing the price of a rod end versus grease. I will put together a log on the tractor tomorrow. Need to do an engine oil change/oil filter plus gear oil in the rear end and I will have replaced all the fluid other than the coolant. I will...

Pretty weak deal, that will frustrate a guy. Not sure if this works with tractors, this is what I would do any any of my vehicles. Might want to make sure with someone with tractor experience. Do you hear the starter trying to engage? Could be a loose wire on the starter or a bad ground...

    L1801- new tire question

Thanks for the advise Michael. I asked one Kubota dealer and they suggested a tire guy they use. I now have 2 differents shops sourcing tires for me. I figured the current tires would be fine in snow, they look pretty meaty. Will look to ballast them.

    L1801- new tire question

New owner to this sweet little tractor I've heard so much about. My mowing time has gone from 7 hours down to 2 thanks to the deck. I'm looking forward to playing with the snow blower. I am looking for a set of turf tires as the rice paddies are hard on a wet yard. What kind of $cratch am I...
