What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I had some old bricks of various types dumped in the back from yard cleanup 10 years ago. Rejigged the garden and thought they would make nice pathways along the edges - the Kubota hauled several buckets full out from the weeds to the garden and laid out, the end result is very quaint.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Started digging around a cluster of birch stumps to get them out of the way so I can build my greenhouse. Those roots go deep!

    L245DT loader

Try West Kentucky Tractor Parts? There were at least 3 loaders that were made in the USA for Kubota that could fit and you may find sub frames with them - the 1200 and 1800, and the Model 22 from ARPS. Also, figure out if you want to use the tractor pump (SLOW) or run a pump off the front...

    Rops program

Update: Installed my ROPS. Went to use my backhoe one day - and the new ROPS is in the way of the backhoe seat - the ROPS "branches out" about 6" too high. I've brainstormed this, and come up with nothing. Yesterday I swapped the ROPS onto my 2wd L245, but first used the ROPS to make a nice...

    L225 with K-600 Backhoe

There weren't reinforcing plates made for the first gen L-series. To make one yourself, take off your pto cover, upper 3pt hitch bracket, and seat, and make a cardboard template that covers all of the mounting holes, and have it cut/bent from 1/4 plate. With new hardware that's 1/4" longer...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Went to move some gravel today...no start. No power, no glowplug, no lights. The battery is brand new, so checked everything. Couldn't even get the battery to charge. It's an 850cca a.c.delco gold less than a month old. Had to connect another old battery in series to get get it over 6v and...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Spread a few more loads of nice crushed granite from the local pit on the driveway for the tenants. Very happy with my old Ford 6' blade - Pulls the gravel around nicely, then reverse the blade to back blade everything nice and level.

Barn / Garage / Shop -How did you select size?

I selected the size based on the trusses and space available. I had 24' wide trusses on hand, and about 55' of open space. My shop is 24X54.

    Chip DPF Delete Discussion

Here's a somewhat local example: http://www.metrovancouver.org/nonroaddiesel http://www.metrovancouver.org/boards/Bylaws1/GVRD_Bylaw_1161.pdf A regional district (similar to a county) government here in BC is regulating Tier 0 and Tier 1 diesels over 25hp. You have to register them, affix...

    Teaching Profession

I work much harder than I would otherwise have to so I can to pay for tuition to send my kids to a private school, instead of taking it easy and sending them to the free public school. The school board is accountable, teachers are accountable, students excel, and the indoctrination doesn't...

    canada insurance and borders

Re: Safety shields I'm going to disagree with you on virtually every level. Granted your experience may vary considerably in another province, but here in BC, no one would claim our healthcare is efficient. And what we spend on healthcare is cleverly hidden in both federal and government...

    canada insurance and borders

The trouble is, we start getting into significant infringement of personal freedoms, especially here in Canada with socialized medicine costing governments in excess of 60% of revenue. No helmet on a motorcycle and no seatbelt in the car will get you fined. If you wear a turban instead of the...

    Safety of zero turn mowers

You'll notice that of the 8 child safety ambassadors featured, 5 lost a limb to a mower, 1 to a train, 1 to a boat, and 1 to a grain auger. Of the 5, 1 involved a push mower, and the others involved ride-on and zero-turn mowers. However, not all were riding/driving the mower, so it also goes...
