    Transmission Liquid 1979 B7100

If you have water in the fluid you may want to change it twice. I would consider putting some cheap oil in it the first time and after a few hrs of running drain it out and then go with the good stuff.

    G1900 Throttle troubles

Just reading over everything that has been posted so far. It sounds like you have your hands full. I can't help but wander if your tractor is really overheating or if your electrical problems are making your heat guage give you a faulty reading. One of those heat guns that Traildust mentioned...

    pulling stumps

Eric, you said it about the dirt eating up a chain saw. I don't think even hitting a nail is any harder on a chain. Fuel consumption is a very unpredictable thing. On my Cat 980 H I have burned as little as 25 gal on a slow day and up to 135 gal on a busy day. When a manufacturer rates the fuel...

    B1550HST price check

    If I remember correctly my 7100 was 17hp and 12pto. It's been a while.

The 3pt does not have down pressure. As far as the oil color goes. All the different brands of oil are colored just to try and identify them. That why you may see the same weight oil be different colors when you look at different brands. I have to different buckets of Amsoil 75w90 gear oil...

    pulling stumps

Hi Foisy, No doubt you can get the job done with your tractor as long as you take your time. I dug a stump out with my B 7100 one time that was so big it was all my tractor and a F 350 would do to get out of the hole. I had to slope the bank like a ramp so the truck could pull it with a chain...

    Transmission Liquid 1979 B7100

This may be completely wrong but if it's real light in color and is foamy looking it sounds like it has water in it. After it sets over night is it the same color?

    pulling stumps

The land owner had rented the same machine one time before and he was able to run it all day for $15 to $20 of fuel a day. I guess the difference is that I just kept it under a load more than he was able to. He could dig with it but wasn't a operator if that makes sense.

    B7100 axle/hub question

K4me, I never really understood what my dad was trying to accomplish. I'm glad he took the time to be hard on me back then. I think it paid off well for me in the long run. I think I'm lucky to have been given the opertunity to grow up on a farm and even more so that I still am able to live on...

    B7100 axle/hub question

Back in the day if you couldn't build it for yourself you were in big trouble. We had a lot of things around our farm that couldn't even be bought. The need for a certain product, the vision to see what it would take to do the job and then the skill to actually fabricate what you dreamed up...

    B7100 axle/hub question

I was taught the old school way of if it can be fixed then there is no need to buy a new one. We didn't have E-bay to go to when dad had me enrolled in his fix and repair class.

    pulling stumps

The owner of the rental is a friend of the man I cleared the land for. He doesn't cut the rate ($250 a day) but let us have it unlimited hrs. We picked it up and took it back ourself so, $750 for rent Plus the fuel. I thought it was a great deal for such a nice machine. It even had a angle blade...

    gr 2110 cutting problem

The grass that your mower is not cutting wouldn't happen to be where the tires are running over it first is it? If it's tall stem grass I don't think it matters what kind of mower you have it will miss some. Just for the sake of asking, what RPM are you running at?

    pulling stumps

That little U 45 was a shock to me. I've operated trackhoes as light as 5500 lbs and up to 200,000 + lbs and everything in between. For it's size it was strong. I had one group of stumps where one big stump (about 18") had 4 or 5 smaller stumps around it. The roots were locked together and that...

    B7100 axle/hub question

My old B 7100 DT had the same problem. It was so bad that the adjustment straps could be tightened all the way down and the hubs could still be slid down the axle and removed. I welded up two of the corners so it would make the hub pull up kind of even when I was finished. After building...

    Noise after transmission oil change

I really wasn't sure about the HST tractors. My manual says my tractor will take either oil as well. The only reason I even brought that up is because your tractor came with SUDT and after the change is when the noise started. It may have nothing to do with it. Keep us posted.

    kubota loader

Hi Montana, Glad to be able to help. I wasn't sure if your loader would be like mine or not. I know that most people have never seen one that mounts like the 450 does. I have not seen another model that does it that way either. I'm glad it worked out for you.
