    MTL Grapple - My Experience

I ordered my 60” MTL grapple last Monday evening. It was delivered yesterday, one week later. Can’t complain about the customer service. It looks to be a sturdy tool with all the basics covered, good welds, good steel, grease zirks where they should be. I’m pleased and it was $1269 delivered...

Summit 3rd Function Valve - Install Report

I love that plug into the fuse panel. What did you do about the fuse cover? I'm guessing it the stock one won't fit after this in inserted.

Summit 3rd Function Valve - Install Report

Ordered the above for my L3130. They shipped immediately, arrived a couple day later. The Kit came complete and with good instructions. I spent 30-40 minutes at my workbench reading through things and pre-assembling all of the fittings. You'll need a 7/8", 1" & 1 & 1/16th" wrenches. I'd...

    Business Must Be Good

This may be going a little deeper than the original intent of my post which was spurred by frustration. I think we're seeing our economy evolve from far less face to face / customer service to a web based, figure it out yourself platform. Try calling an airline, UPS shipping, your credit card...

    Electrical system question

Hi Folks, Have a L3130 I'm installing a 3rd function valve and the kit suggest going directly to the battery. I'd like to only have power when the ignition is on. Any tips on going in and finding a suitable place to connect for post ignition power? I'm guessing I'll need to sniff around the...

    Business Must Be Good

Perhaps I’m being too hard on them. Each dealer is 20-30 miles in a different direction and I was ready to make a move. I could have driven to each for a chat but it would had taken a day to do it. I still think they should have called but maybe they get a lot phone calls that go nowhere...

    Business Must Be Good

I've decided I need to add a 3rd function and buy a grapple. Last Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am to 8:30 am, I called 3 different Kubota dealers in the surrounding communities. As told them I wanted to add a 3rd function and buy a grapple. None of the " Phone People " knew what I was...

    Thanks. I'll look it up.

    Front & Rear 3rd Function?

Love it. This will be my plan. I'll try to source all the parts from Summit tomorrow. I'm trying to figure out your fittings bracket on the ROPS. Did you custom make it or can you point me in the right direction to obtain a way to affix the hose fittings?

    Front & Rear 3rd Function?

So, you split the line after the 3rd function valve, run a set up front for the grapple and a set to the rear for whatever. All the hoses stay in place no matter which end you're operating. Correct? Very good idea.

    Front & Rear 3rd Function?

Thanks CRFJR. The strut you attached to the shield plate? Where did you get that? Did it come with an install kit? I'd like to have one. LB

    Front & Rear 3rd Function?

That's pretty much it. Function one lifts / lowers the forks, function two curls / uncurls the bucket. Anything else ( like a grapple arm ) needs another circuit or “ function “….. a third function.

    Front & Rear 3rd Function?

That’s awesome. Just what I envisioned.

    Front & Rear 3rd Function?

I need another line of fluid for a grapple on the front ( which I plan to use regularly ) and I need a line to the rear for small seed drill ( which I'll rent from the NRCS and use rarely ). Would it be crazy to add a 3rd function kit ( i'm thinking the Summit Kit ) for the grapple and then...

Hobby Farm - Seed Drill Options?

Thanks for the feedback Folks. Thus far, the rental ones i've looked at all need rear hydraulics and about 40 HP. I guess I could look at adding rear Hydo and hope my 31 ponies will carry the day. I've had trouble getting anyone to even call me back about custom planting. The Quail Forever...

Hobby Farm - Seed Drill Options?

Hi Folks, I'm rehabbing my little hobby farm and will have multiple projects going on in the years ahead. I have an L3130 ( 31 HP ), no rear hydraulics. I'm going to need to drill in 15 acres ( a nine & two 3 acre fields ) of pollinator mix as part of a conservation program. Plus, I have...

    Field Borders?

Good point on tick control. I like the idea of being able to patrol the perimeter but we'll see how it goes. Seed Mix: I have sent my NRCS Planting Job Sheet to three different seed vendors here in MO. I'm told my requested mix is customized to my property, going into a former fescue hay...
