Thanks All. Expanded metal is new ( I never knew what it was called ) to me but I see the utility.

Grill Guard - Simple & Cheap?

Hi Folks, I run a L3130 I added a grapple to my set up a few months past ( love it ). So far, I've used it without the mesh component on my Grill Guard. I know I'm living on borrowed time before I run something through the tractor grill. I've looked at all the threads of custom builds and...

What does everyone collect or do for a hobby?

Seems like many common interest here ( not surprising ). Aside from the farm / tractor / farm projects, I spend plenty of time riding motorcycles. I keep the stable to 2-3 at a time but it would be easy and nice to expand the collection. Fortunately, I only has so much room and some...

    Grapples for mx6000

I needed a grapple and looked at many options. I purchased a 60” MTL Root Grapple. Delivered in a week for < $1300 All in. https://www.mtlattachments.com/attachments/mtl-48-skid-steer-root-grapple-bucket-attachment I’m sure the high dollar options are nice. I really can’t see why I’d need...

    Solar Battery Maintainer Install

this is what I used. I’ve had one unit for a few weeks and it’s been good thus far. It’s a pretty nice package. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0956QFKVY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1...

    Solar Battery Maintainer Install

In the shade now in the late afternoon. Those leaves will be gone soon so it will just be the bare branches to deal with. Plus, they do pretty well with ambient light but of course, full sunshine is best.

    Solar Battery Maintainer Install

Good point. They can’t be seen from the road so someone would need to be sniffing around on foot. I’m not keen on mounting something on the roof for a number of reasons. I hope the crooks stay away.

    Solar Battery Maintainer Install

Snow is an occasional and generally, a temporary situation. We may get 10” but it’s usually gone shortly there after. I have these on the South Side for the winter sun. It will burn off any snow / ice pretty quickly.

    Solar Battery Maintainer Install

I have four 12 volt batteries to maintain over the winter. My building is off the grid with no easy ( inexpensive ) way to run a line to it. After considerable research, I chose to run four individual units, one for each machine / battery. I didn’t like the idea of putting a hole in my...

    Chainsaw Scabbard?

Thank you for your concern but I have high confidence that this saw is not going anywhere until I pull it out. I toyed with a higher angle but then pulling the saw out would be difficult. I guess time will tell.

    Chainsaw Scabbard?

Here's my solution. It's a modification of a few I've seen shared. I used some scrap 1x6" I had in the garage. After pondering my design and making a few measurements, it was a 30 minutes project. The Mrs. was kind enough to spray paint it black. I bought the U-bolts for about $6 for the...

    Grapple arrived!!

I've had my grapple ( MLT ) for 6 weeks or so. I can't believe I went so long without one. If you need to manage brush / trees, it's must have attachment.

    Chainsaw Scabbard?

Hi Folks, Any ideas floating around for a DIY chainsaw scabbard? I know SawHaul will sell me a nice one for $129 +tax. I see Koplin has one which looks less than ideal for $65. There must be someone who has solved this before me. A search didn't come up with much.
