What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

One step closer to getting my "Thumb" on... Got the mount positioned last night and held in place with a couple self-tapping screws. Drilled two holes, top and bottom through the 3/8" plate on the drill press, then mounted it to the arm. Once properly positioned, it was removed and fully...

    Alernator pricing, choosing

I recently did an upgrade to a 40A alternator because I added a small winch to my tractor. The dynamo I pulled is fully functional. It's out of a 2006 B3030 ~425 hrs, if it's compatible, you can have it for short money. If interested send me a PM.

    Bent dipper

If the 77 doesn't fit, you could add a thumb mount to the replacement 75. As I mentioned earlier...I have a BH75 and in the process of fabricating a thumb mount for it. Should have it all welded on the dipper this weekend. Planning to clamp the "tacked" assembly in place tonight and check for...

    Bent dipper

I can't say it would fit for sure...but they are pretty similiar. I've taken a number of measurements to add a thumb mount for my BH75. I'd say go to your closest Kubota dealer and take some measurements, and ask the service department.

What is this wire on starter for?

I just did an alternator upgrade on my 06 B3030, and I have that same white wire. It's not connected to anything, and was tie-wrapped from the factory. Looking at the WSM for my tractor, the white wire lead is called the "Stop Solenoid Lead". The image below is from the WSM page 1-S38...

    A BH1976 Thumb on my BH75

The "stock" Kubota mount has a cutout on the upper flange to accommodate a hydraulic cylinder. From what I've seen in other threads, some have had to modify the cylinder so the hydraulic connector is pointing in the right direction.

Kubota Says No Wheel Ballast With a Backhoe.

...when using the hoe, the outriggers should be set so the rear tires are off the ground, and the front bucket set down taking the weight off the fronts. That creates the most stable platform for backhoe use. I wouldn't think having tires filled or not, would make much of a difference...

    Mechanical Thumb Question

I guess I should have been more clear and asked if the max curl pressure, once the system relief valve kicks in, would cause any damage to the thumb, or dipperstick/cylinder. Sounds like the thumb assembly was designed to stop the bucket without any damage occurring. I've reached max system...
