    B2320 and Woods BH70 backhoe

I had a woods backhoe on my B 7100 and after I destroyed it I bought a Kubota backhoe to replace it. The Kubota hoe is hands down a much heavier unit but I am compairing a 1999 model Kubota to a mid 70's woods. I'm sure that woods has improved their design over the years. I did hear that Kubota...

Hi Will, I didn't have a chance to call yet. I have been hauling hay out of the field and trying to get it stacked in the shed before it got rained on. I will check with them as soon as I get caught up on this hay. Thanks for the info and I will check with them soon.

    L3010HST governor questions.

Hi Marty, Diesel fuel is bad to grow algea in it and it won't take long to stop your filter and injectors up. If you already had algea in your fuel tank or your fuel supply even with the fall filter change this still could be your problem. If it was me I would try to change the filter again...

Can you diagnose from a picture? (L2350 wheel)

Welcome to OTT SarahJ, If you are wanting a tractor mechanic then try Tag Equipment. They are on Cherrokee Blvd right before you go thru the tunnel into Red Bank. Family owner and operated. They have helped me out several times and are a good bunch of guys.

    L3010HST governor questions.

Sounds like you have a dirty fuel filter to me. Even if it's not to the point that it makes the engine skip or miss it will rob power when you really put a strain on it.

    L3010 w/ LA482 loadere..... Sticky Joy stick

If you are meaning that the loader is straining to lift past 3/4 with a empty bucket the first thing that comes to mind is the hyd fluid level or a dirty filter. Did the owner give you any service records? Has the hyd system ever been serviced before? If the fluid is good then I would look at...

    Teeth

Hi Handyman, Unless I just can't find them, I don't see any that are like the ones that I need. Mine basicly slide over the edge of the bucket and they have two bolts that go thru the shank part of the tooth and the bucket itself. In other words these teeth don't have a seperate shank and...

    Teeth

Does anybody know where a good place to order bolt on teeth for a Kubota backhoe bucket? It's been a while back but they where about $30 a piece from Kubota for the bolt on type and that didn't even include bolts. I really don't want the weld on just because it's so easy to replace the others...

    Sharpening blades

I clamp mine in a vise and use a die grinder to sharpen them. A flap wheel or a surphase prep pad seems to work just fine and doesn't eat the blades up at all. It is easy to keep the edge at the right angle to.

    New Owner: Question about manuals

Hey Vic, I bet it's a JD dealer and they are pissed because most of there sales are Orange instead of green. The dealer that is the closest to me started out selling JD tractors and now sell Kubota as well. 50 HP and under Kubota is outselling Jd 3 to 1 and 50 HP and up it's 2 to 1 and they...

    New Owner: Question about manuals

I guess every dealer does things differently but all of them should give you all the operators manuals for you to go over before you take possesion of your tractor. It could be handing you the manuals as you get the keys but they still should give them to you. One dealer that I bought from has a...

Am I the only one ??

Since these excavators have a extra moving point (swing boom) have you checked all the points where the boom linkage is? You may need to get some one to help you check all these points but if it has slop in the linkage it has to be loose somewhere. Maybe a undersized pin or a missing bushing. Is...

    Going Implement CrAZy

When my backhoe is removed from the tractor everything is like normal. The only difference on mine from being stock is the top link mount was changed to a heavier duty one than what came on the tractor but it would even be noticed unless you knew what to look for. What would be the point of a...

    2 different size front tires

The ag tires are taller but if you do change the front be sure that you do the rear as well. The size that DsBota listed is what was on my 7100. If you only changed the front and engaged the 4WD you would find all the weak points in the drive train real fast. Ugly wouldn't even start to cover it.

Look at this Air filter~ ;(

I hated the hoz. exhaust on my B 7100 so I stood mine up and removed the short tip and added a short stack with a turn out on it. This worked like a champ for me and took all my smoke trouble away and made them blow right above my head and to the left. Even if you can't move your pipe I'm sure...

Am I the only one ??

Re: Am I the only one ?? KX 161-3 problems I haven't been on a 161 but did get to spend some time on a U 45 and it didn't have any abnormal slop in the boom. It was very fast and I really gave it a workout. I put about 40 hrs on it in three days and really had a lot of fun with it. Rust Addict...
