What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I’m not at all sure, but I’ll give it a guess. Looks like some sort of miniature thresher. Have seen a few mini-threshers that were foot (treadle like an old sewing machine) or electric powered for processing small batches of various grains. They looked a lot like Oscar. 🤷‍♂️

    Help finding installation video

    I have a T2290 but I don’t have a snow blower, so can’t help with attaching a snow blower. ☹️

    Suicide

If you have any kind of insurance on it at all, (KTAC, homeowner, specific equipment insurance, etc.) that’s almost certainly a covered loss. Property insurance that doesn’t cover fire exists, but not at all common.

    Good source for 2,4-DB herbicide?

Deleted. Just noticed place I linked is out of stock.

    Measuring Chart

It’s a worthy project. We did that with my mother’s voluminous recipe boxes. It both preserved them and solved the issue of several people wanting them.

    Kubota Credit Corporation

I’ve used the ignore feature twice: once on purpose, once accidentally (no clue how I did that). It works quite well. If another member routinely gets under your skin, regardless whether justified or not, you are notified there’s ignored content but you have to proactively click on a link to...

    Measuring Chart

I have a conversion app for stuff like this. https://apps.apple.com/app/id478222820 It will convert millimeters to inches, US dollars to Mexican pesos, or nearly anything else. I also have a calculator that works with fractions. https://apps.apple.com/app/id580778301 For stuff I deal with...

    Ignorance is bliss.

    I got a free hat with the L4701 and another with the T2290. 🙂 A gallon of SUDT2 didn’t rate a free hat. ☹️

    Ignorance is bliss.

I feel your pain. About a year ago, before I retired, I went to my local Kubota dealer just to pick up some SUDT2 during my lunch. Walk in, pick up a jug, pay, and leave. Just as I’m opening the door one of my employees calls. This dude NEVER calls unless he has a damn good reason, so I answer...

Easiest path to an Ag Exemption?

    Truth.

    Setting up WoodMaxx chipper.

There are a bunch of really good videos on YouTube that show how to shorten a PTO shaft. Watch a few about 5 times, measure twice, cut once (actually cut twice, because you have to cut both ends to shorten it).

Easiest path to an Ag Exemption?

Good points. For the present use tax reduction, leasing for ag ops works here so long as it clears the $1000 threshold. The “claw back” is triggered if you leave the program. It’s the three prior year’s difference between the best use tax amount and actual reduced amount previously paid plus...

Easiest path to an Ag Exemption?

The ag has a pretty low income threshold at only $1,000 gross. I would suggest read over this as a starting point https://www.ncleg.gov/enactedlegislation/statutes/pdf/bysection/chapter_105/gs_105-277.3.pdf The actual property tax “exemption”, which is what most people think of when they say...

    Interesting tool. What is it?

You can still buy them but that one looks pretty old. https://www.walmart.com/ip/O-H-FG-OFG-Frog-Round-Teeth-Fishing-Grabber/119836776 I don’t know why that link translated to “Robot or human” when I posted it. If the link is wonky, just Google Norlunds Frog/Fish Grabber. Walmart still sells...

Weird response from hydraulics at start up

An air leak on the suction side of the circuit doesn’t necessarily translate to a fluid leak. If there’s a leak on the suction side, the problem isn’t fluid escaping, it’s air coming in to an area that should be fluid only, no air. Assuming you have some sort of quick connects (you don’t need a...

    Do you need a truck?

I’ve heard similar stats before. Assuming they’re correct, I really don’t understand. I used to drive a 2WD car for work. As a broad generalization, cars handle better, ride better (particularly if your truck is capable of any significant towing or hauling), get better fuel economy, can be...

Weird response from hydraulics at start up

I know nothing specific about your machine so this may be worthless. 1. Had, or more accurately operated and worked on, a Ford (tractor) many years ago with jerky hydraulics when first started AND when idling. Worked fine after about 5 minute warm up and at some reasonable working RPM above...

    L6060 Tractor and Post Driver?

I don’t know about all the current Shaver models. I know my brother’s has hydraulic tilt built in so you can get the post plumb without the tractor being level. That’s why it has three hydraulic valve levers to the right of the hammer; side tilt, fore/aft tilt, hammer. Requires just one...

    L6060 Tractor and Post Driver?

I actually did ask my brother if that Shaver pile driver of his would drive a T-post or just crush it like a beer can on a redneck’s forehead. Apparently there’s some sort of attachment that will allow it to drive T-posts and a depth setting to prevent over driving. I had a potential to need to...
