Impeller housing; Snowblower, now bare metal-paint?

My mistake, I saw the thin metal parts and thought it must be a cheap snowblower. It is no wonder that things rust away, today I observed an abundance of salt freshly dumped on the local roads with the temperature at 60 degrees. Right now the temperature is still in the fiftys and it is...

Impeller housing; Snowblower, now bare metal-paint?

I agree, road salt keeps me imprisoned much of the winter because I won't drive in it unless absolutely necessary. That walk behind snowblower might be the victim of the owner applied salt. Small businesses dump the stuff all over the place to avoid the legal messes if someone falls.

    Lug nut reminder

Trouble is that we no longer reward mechanical abilities, those that do the actual hands on work only get more work to do. Those that play at their desks are the ones that move up.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Actually there is little adjustment, the angle built into the ROPS and the lights came out nearly perfect when mounted like this. The rear lights are angled down more, just like you would want them. Below are the products I used, some of it can be bought in small quantities. The...

    Fan shroud

My guess is that the cable for the breakaway switch was dangling in the snow and was pulled, activating the trailer brakes. He was towing the trailer with all of the tires dragging. I wonder if he put major stresses on the front axle leading to breakage.

    Questions after 50-hour service

looks like what they put on the hood edge as stated above. Mine wouldn’t leave the hood latch because it was out of position. Pinched it tight and reinstalled, if it happens again I will use weatherstrip adhesive.

    Lug nut reminder

I wonder how many on here have a Ford Super Duty pickup. They have two piece lugnuts that require a drop of oil between the pieces. The part next to the wheel has raised lines that bites preventing rotation, so the torque is between the two parts. I have never seen anyone oil those nuts and...

    Kubota Quality

I have four Onan engines in regular use, they all do the same trick you described. Since the OP is having significant issues with scheduling service, I would think he did some double checking.

    Kubota Quality

I had some sloppy and incorrect assembly caused by the dealer, but all of my issues centered on the backhoe. I have no idea what kind of funny farm they are running in Georgia where it was produced. A number of thumb kits had the wrong pin that was too short and not drilled for a grease...

b2301 backhoe height question fit in garage

Sure, once you are in you should either pin it back up or rest it on the floor. The one thing that may be a problem is forgetting to get it positioned properly when going in or out. You might want to see if the garage door opening can be raised, most residential doors are 84" minus the weather...

    Kubota Quality

Yesterday, Christmas day, I was showing my son-in-law what I was doing in an effort to make my new backhoe usable. I had the cover off the console to look at the adjustments when we noticed that both bolts that retain the levers were ready to fall out. It never ends with this piece of junk...

    Inspiration from Warren Buffett

While the video gave some good examples, I would like to see people presented that physically produced quality products. It is one thing to buy, sell or rent products but quite a different thing producing things using your hands and mind.

    Leaky backhoe, normal?

I gues that he was referring to the possibility of dropping stuff, a grapple would have much less of a problem if the cylinders leak down a bit.

    Is this normal??

It may be bottomed out internally, no way to tell without pulling it apart. My guess is that it is a nothing burger.

    Leaky backhoe, normal?

I am interested in what you come up with. It appears that it might be a bit of a challenge in fitting a POCV since it is almost 6" long and there would be a fair amount of plumbing to do. My new backhoe has been worked on by two dealers with some improvement the last time, but I don't know...
