Help -fuel sending unit issue, hydo oil in engine

I wish I learned a lot of this stuff in school, or from somebody knowledgeable. I'm 28 now and I've been figuring this kind of stuff out "on my own" for a long time now. Back to my first oil change at 16, which I learned how to do on-line. Anyways. The sending unit only has one lead. A...

Help -fuel sending unit issue, hydo oil in engine

Yup, I got nothing. Placed the meter's ground on the original position as well as the battery terminal, and no change. I wasn't sure how many omhs it might draw but there was no difference switching from each Ohm setting. Looking like that's my culprit, although it doesn't seem very common.

Help -fuel sending unit issue, hydo oil in engine

The pump "appears" normal. I'm gonna go ahead and order the seal/gasket after I confirm if I need a sending unit as well. The fuel gauge is stuck on empty. I replaced the gauge with a new one and same result. I tried reversing the wires in case I mixed them up and no difference was made. When...

Help -fuel sending unit issue, hydo oil in engine

Hello everyone, My b7200 has a couple issues I'm looking to sort out and would appreciate the help. I recently discovered hydraulic oil is getting into the engine. I've read the pump is usually the culprit. It looks like (per diagrams) all I need is a gasket for the pump assy, and an oil...

    B7200 crankshaft oil leak

One if my leaks was the oil filter housing itself. There are O-rings on the back of the housing that can go bad. I used a little rtv and sealed mine back up and haven't had an issue. I would definitely recommend getting the O-rings and going that route though.

Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks.

    B7200 wiring/regular issues

Ok! Got the new regulator today, and problem solved! Battery is charging like normal. I also got a new flasher which works great. That cost almost $70 which is disgusting, but it's nice to get all the electrical working again... Except for the fuel gauge. Brand New gauge/regulator and fresh...

    Coldwater Tractor Install B7200

Lol! TBH, that's the best way! I got the tractor for a steal at $1900 and ran it for a while before me and the wife decided a loader was necessary. It's an old machine that has needed a bunch of maintenance but I love it, this 7200 is a beast! Man, hydraulic power makes all the difference!

    Coldwater Tractor Install B7200

Hey guys, A while back I posted a thread on how to install a loader I got from Coldwater Tractors. Although I talked with the owner before purchase I thought the install was going to be more simplified than it turned out to be. What I would say to expect: A good loader, at a good price, with...

    B7200 crankshaft oil leak

Hello again, got all the parts on order and I realized another issue. I've been leaking oil pretty heavily as you all know. But.. my oil level hasn't changed. It stays right on full. I'm pretty positive hydraulic oil is leaking into the crankcase. Antifreeze level is normal, and I don't smell...

    7200D Hydrostatic and FEL issues

Wish I had a better answer for you. Like I said before I am new to these tractors. I'm not sure if there's a port for testing the HI-forward gear/HST pressure. But I remember reading the manual and seeing there was a way of testing the reverse and HI/LOW HST levels. Might wanna look into that...

    B7200 wiring/regular issues

So.. just got home and did another test. This time I left the regulator off and probed the 2 pins from dynamo on the harness. Found I ran 15v (AC) at idle. And maxed out around 38v full throttle. (that $h!+ Was loud in my small "garage") What I didn't know was I would have to prove the two...

    B7200 wiring/regular issues

Thanks again Dave. I will have to disconnect dynamo and try it again later. I told you I wasn't very good with wiring/electrical! And yes more than likely my meter is going to be off. It's an el cheapo and I really need to upgrade at some point. Thanks!

    B7200 wiring/regular issues

That's correct. AC-25vDC-12V I have replaced all suspect areas, but it would be a lot more sound if I replaced all of them entirely. Wish they still made wiring harnesses at a decent price. It's nice to be able to use wiring diagram if needed. I ran out of black wire for ground as you may have...

    B7200 wiring/regular issues

It was 25v AC with key on, engine off. I recently had the engine running before testing voltage... And I'm using the most basic volt meter you could find. When I measured DC with engine off, key on, it was right at 12v. Does that sound correct? Is it no longer considered AC with the engine off...

    B7200 wiring/regular issues

Hey Dave, Thanks for the response. I was out working the Kubota and just saw your message. I have a 7200HSTD. I went and took the connector off and everything looks clean. I was going to see if I could pop the plastic off on the back side of regulator but it appears to be a solid molded...

    B7200 wiring/regular issues

Hello again, The hits just keep coming! The charge light hasn't shut off in days, and my fuel gauge quit working. Went through all wires, fuses, grounds, etc and I can't seem to narrow the issue down. Yesterday I checked both Dynamo wires and found each wire was putting 20v+ to the regulator...

    B7200 crankshaft oil leak

Ah, thanks for the info. When I saw collar I just assumed it was pressed in. I'll post pics for others when I get around to it. Probably next week as I've got to order up everything I need. Anything else I should consider tackling while I'm at it? Getting real tired of oil leaks :p

    B7200 crankshaft oil leak

Thank you for bringing this to my attention!! I never would have know until I got into it otherwise. So I need the oil seal for the crankcase and the O-ring for the crankshaft at minimum. Is the collar reusable, or should it be replaced upon removal? Also, is there a special tool to remove the...
