    Idles down and shuts off

I'm a little doubtful, but certainly hoping it was just the cap causing your problem. It really does happen, which is why I wanted to add it to my first responsive post. As far as "If any of you are interested....", it is ALWAYS important for you to post your solution. So many times here...

BX 23S - can you leave on the snowblower quick hitch AND have the FEL?

Some of the older front hitches are not compatible with the loader. Yours may be different

    Idles down and shuts off

19thSF - Dave is always very technically correct in his analyses. I honestly didn’t consider an electronically controlled engine. Doesn’t change my recommendations, but it does add another aspect to troubleshooting I did not take into account. What color is the smoke? Just like a gasoline...

    Box blade for snow?

See explanation below. Mr. K does a great job with the site: https://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/threads/bad-site-upgrade-forum-reset-to-11-4-state.48239/

    Idles down and shuts off

First, as 11/11 approaches, thank you for your service, along with all other veteran OTT members. Not very familiar with the fuel system on a B2650. Couple background questions: Any smoke, and what color? Did "stumble" as it lost RPM, or did RPM just suddenly drop off? My first thought is...

    Daily Chuckle

Definitely good advice for the “mature” crowd common to OTT.

    Box blade for snow?

I sometimes use the BB fall and spring with wet snow over stone that isn't frozen down. Long top link to avoid digging in. Like Jay said, I just pull the box full and out of the way. Works and helps build a base in the fall.

Anyone else a Starlink beta tester?

mikester - - what does low latency mean? EDIT (looked it up) - - means the delay inherent in the network. Does that mean less buffering/improved streaming? We stream some TV via ROKU.

    HST Transmission Oil

I don't know if an "L" follows a little BX, but I've changed mine at 50, and twice since then, and I'm at 400. Each time I change it the HST whine has decreased greatly.

    HST Transmission Oil

Don't keep hydraulic fluid in the house. The main concern is the tanks/reservoirs IN a tractor are open to the atmosphere (e.g., vented). Same for the fuel tank, HST tank, etc. As temperatures change, the fluid in those tanks/reservoirs expand and contract, inviting humidity into your...

    Other Tractors We Own

In another thread I wrote about how old tractor iron can represent your family history. I was tinkering with the governor linkage rod to get more high-end RPM on the 'Moline. Long since forgotten, but I saw the marks my Grandfather filed into the throttle arm and mount to calibrate RPM's for a...

    Interesting question

Skeets - - - 'Cat got it. Bobcat tractors are re-badged something. They were Kioti last I knew, but maybe something else now. I see some Bobcat Tractor ads here on OTT regularly now.

    Is it November 3rd yet??

Dayum..... You said a mouthful! All so true... Although mom and I live in a rural place, our kids don't. They've dealt with virus in bad places, BLM demonstrations/riots, and wildfires, all nearby to where they are..... I'm not gonna mention hurricanes for them (or us)....yet....

    Is it November 3rd yet??

I have a buddy on the ticket for the NYS Assembly in my area. Beat his Republican opponent in the primary in June 75/25%. Current assemblyman is retiring, and endorsed my buddy. Known both almost 30 years. Long-time police chief, former Marine Sergeant Major deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I was 18 or 20 at the time and pretty handy with a chainsaw. Hung both saws in a tree half mile + out in the woods. After a “good talkin’ to” 😳 from my father, it was a long, muddy and shameful drive back to the barn on the old ‘Moline for another bar and chain..... I got another talkin’ to...

    L285 runs cold

If my copy/paste works, this is a problem I have had with a BX that showed it was hot when it wasn’t. Following Dave’s advice and laser thermometer should get you in the right direction. https://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/threads/bx-running-hot-or-not.37171/#post-310332

    transmission fan replacement BX2660

Very nice write up Mike. I checked mine this fall, all good. Jay - my BX2360 does have a guard, but there’s not much to it. I still put a BXPanded under plate on it for dirt and brush work. Seems like someone said the newer BX’s have a better guard, so yours may be a little more stout and...

First Snowfall - Rear Blade Adjustment - how many of you do this ?

I don't have a back blade, but occasionally use my box blade....fall and spring like jajiu said. I see many swing the back blades around backwards....makes sense. With a box blade, length of the top link is important. Does the top link length have any effect with a back blade.....does...

So, now that winter is approaching.....

We’ve been wood pellets for 14 years. Hot water baseboard off a fuel oil boiler is the backup. Boiler is treated with antifreeze. Burn 5 tons of pellets and about 15 gallons of heating oil.
