    Traveller (TSC) 80W-90 gear oil

True - if you read my post it was relative to brass gears in the mower and/or snowblower gearboxes. Never said anything about brass gears in the front axle. As Dan said GL-5 is good and gear oil is what’s called for in those applications.

Fiddle farting around on the farm.

Wow- some of those market prices a sound impressive at ~$4. Like I mentioned a while back, numbers are at historic lows. Shows at the market. Sounds like a great deal on your bull and the next bull.

    New Kubota L3302DT stalling

My first thought was seat switch, and looks like several folks are thinking same. Good hypothesis, especially if OP is 140#.

    LockNLube grease gun coupler?

Damn straight they're worth it. If you search OTT for it, you will likely find thousands of good references. I have one and have thought about getting another..........

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I saw you were cleaning up some wood you had no use for. You're a good man.... ;) I'm sure it means a lot to the recipient.

    Traveller (TSC) 80W-90 gear oil

Dan - - - many thanks - - correct for my RCK54-23BX mower gearbox. I'll add this for future reference, while not part of the front axle discussion. From the OP -specs GL5: I began to wonder about the BX2750D snowblower gearbox. From the OP - 80/90, but no GL5 spec - - I'm sure I'm good...

    Traveller (TSC) 80W-90 gear oil

I have SUDT2 in the front axle of my BX. Intend to stay that way unless something starts to leak. I may then try 80-90 as others have done. Similarly, recently saw something about SUDT2 versus 80-90 gear oil in the gearbox of the MMM. I’ve honestly just changed with gear oil every year without...

    What's cookin' boys?

I see a beef stir fry in my future….. The Mrs. is finding that 6” fruit pies sell well at the farmers market. Lots of older folks don’t want a 9” pie. Almost done.

Fixing hole in side of block

I haven't followed Joe's thread closely, but it does seem like he's used the BX quite often to move stuff around recently. I may have missed the BX engine problem.

    Block vs Oil Pan Heater

My little BX is stored in an attached garage. Use it for snowblowing in the winter Gets cold, but not outside temps. I omitted a block heater upon purchase by accident. Intended to get one. Later intended to put one in but saw many instances of their failure. I keep a battery tender on, and...

    Rear remotes

Looks awesome! Just said to Dan the other day what a great resource he is. Haven’t had a project or repair requiring his expertise, but he helps folks out every day. He’s forgotten more about hydraulic systems than I’ll ever know. Lots of smart and talented folks here on OTT. Dan’s...

    Material From Pond Dredging

Like mikester and D2Cat say I think the fill would be fine, but I wouldn’t want the bags. 2,000 yards is A LOT of material. Think 100 loads +/- . A little bar napkin math, that’s enough fill to raise an acre over a foot. (54,000 cubic feet over 43,560 square feet). Depending on size of your...

    Hunting and game posts

So happy for your Dad. I recall @Lil Foot having a picture of an adult Elk bull near his suburban property a few years ago drinking from a bucket. They’re huge. Impressive. Probably weighs as much or more than the steer that we get our beef from each year.

    Used Kubota

Jimmy - obviously I had some tongue in cheek sarcasm. I did indeed see some of the OTT members talking about the recall. Literally the day before I picked up my last new pickup a fellow told me about the doom and gloom associated with some of the 2014-2017 Chevy 5.3 liters in the 1500’s. After...

    Sometimes I'm Not Very Smart

Sometimes I luck out... Was checking coax connections in the house (no internet service) and found a small coil of 12/2 romex in the cellar that had a wire nut on the hot wire. Was LIVE and obviously something our bathroom contractor overlooked this spring. Just noticed it today myself. Got...

Buying a truck!?!??! Be careful. I'm kind of in the market as well. There's a lot of problems with most of them.:oops: Just look on the internet.. ;)

    Looking for some "machine advice"

One thing I learned from another responsibility of mine is that the maximum load can be limited depending on your location. Don't want to open a pandora's box, but apparently some home locations can be somewhat limited as to the load capacity from the pole or transformer in your location...
