    Refurbished Tongs

In early Spring I mounted up the Boom Pole and shackled up the tongs at the end, then I tossed a few hundred pounds of ballast in the FEL. The test was to remove jammed up logs from a bend in the creek. The tongs worked good, but I may modify them and add some scissor plates so they're easier to...

When Did You Start Feeling Old?

I hear badgering from all over about the mods and upgrades that I've done and shared, on my tractor. All the younger pitching their banter, how EASY it is for them to do things, and how they feel about my changing things that (in their eyes) don't need changed. It honestly makes me laugh...

    Refurbished Tongs

I got these off ebay last year for a steal. They were pretty scaled with rust, but for $35/shipped, I'll take them. After a bath in Arm & Hammer Laundry Booster and the assist of some wire, an anode, and a 12v automotive battery charger, after 24hrs the rust was gone. I gave them a squirt of...

    [MOD] Adding a step. BX23S

I'll have to get the dimensions for you tomorrow, I just come in from outside. The last mowing.

    Diesel Transfer Tank Build

You got yourself a nice set-up! Right now, my tank feeds my BX23S only, for the time being. No need, but can fill it all the way. Currently, my genset is a gasser, and we get more than our share of power outages every year. When this unit craps out, I plan a diesel generator. For fuel additives...

    [MOD] Adding a step. BX23S

Every time I seen images of someone who'd mounted a toolbox, for the most, they were great ideas. Problem being, most installs were not on the 23S model. Those methods could not be used, so I had to get creative. I wanted the largest box possible "within" what space was available, without...

    [MOD] Adding a step. BX23S

After rehashing my thoughts today, I made a couple changes to my toolbox plan. The left step and toolbox mount (along with my fuel tank. See my Diesel Transfer Tank-build) were dropped off at the weld shop to be welded together. It's been a year since I put it on my list....lol. Time to Giter Done!!

    Diesel Transfer Tank Build

Today I loaded the tank onto my trailer, and took it to the weld shop. I'm having a filler neck added. Once that's done, it's ready for use. (y)

    ROP Bar - Light Mounts

Thanks. I've always been an OCD type. After my working as a finish carpenter in the yacht industry, the OCD-Ness grew in intensity. While in that trade, solutions and solving was gained by execution. My no longer being among all the creativity, leaves me short changed in thought, mainly due to...

    ROP Bar - Light Mounts

The lights are finally done. I need to pickup and add a couple wire clamps to each side to clean-up the excess wire. D-Rings on the outside of the ROP was an after thought.

    Deep-Cut Portaband? (Corded)

That Trajan is nice. More than I want to invest. Milwaukee will likely be my choice.

    Deep-Cut Portaband? (Corded)

I currently have a makita 4.5" corded (for heavier needs) and a ridgid 4.5" cordless. They both get use as cut-off tools aswell. I also have a Plasma Cutter. A corded deep-cut would be useful. Milwaukee stands the test of time, IMO. I've heard from my SIL (millwright) that they buy the Vevor...
