Restaurants/Retailers Accepting Cash/Not accepting Cash and Charging a fee for Using a Card/ Labor Fee

I think you're right in your estimate of approx 3%. Strangely, I didn't think it was legal for merchants to charge additional $ for credit card transactions...yet, you see it all of the time?

    Truck / trailer questions

I think the OP was referring to the GM 6.2L. Regarding the Ford variant, drove one (brand new 2021 F350 cab/chassis dump) with 4:30 rear trying to pull a 3.5 ton mini-ex. That thing couldn't get out of its own way. Owner traded the truck with 200 miles on it (he wanted to drive it off a cliff...

    Truck / trailer questions

I think your friend ought to have his head examined. A 33' travel trailer is way to large for a 1/2 ton whatever. That's a huge sail for a light weight pickup...in my opinion.

    Truck / trailer questions

Nope. You don't need a CDL unless its registered as a commercial vehicle or you are using it for commercial purposes...

Stumped...no start after kiiling it while tilling

after doing what is stated above... try running your jumper cable (negative side of the battery) to a very good ground. I'm betting that you have a bad ground strap. fixed the neighbor ford this way....he replaced the battery and was about to buy a new starter. I connected the battery negative...

    Truck / trailer questions

My $.02. You're fine with a half ton. Get something with a longer bed. Longer wheel base tows better and be careful when it comes to gearing of the tow vehicle. Not sure what GM uses anymore. I have a 5 liter f150 with 3:55's (supercrew long bed, 10 speed auto) tows great but steers like the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Ok, trees planted today. Geez. I'm tired. At 58 YO, I just can't do them as fast as I used to...and I have a few more aches than 15 years ago... :( Start: 10 Norways...and a Maple for good measure (or shade the patio) 3 to do for my mom tomorrow...happy (early) mothers day to her.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Picked up a load of Norway's for a job tomorrow. They are about the only spruce that make it around here.

Diesel engine sucked up water! Now what?

OP never answered if he had any insurance at all. So, you're guess is as good as mine. 🤷‍♂️

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Snuck out after lunch today to do part 2 of a small grading/seeding job. Was done in 2 hours with a couple of yards of screened topsoil. Made some nice coin for a small job...just the way I like them. didnt bother with pics...looked like last pic in post 18,451...a little bigger area with seed...

Advice on first real tractor for retirement.

I'll throw in my $.02. I had a landscaping business years ago and used a BX23. It handled the types of jobs that I liked to do just fine. That little machine made quite a bit of money for me. I traded that machine 12 years later for a B2650. I wanted the large B (which is now designated as the...

Advice on first real tractor for retirement.

congrats mailman. I'd have to say that the LX (B2650) sized machine makes for an outstanding "landscape" tractor with decent capabilities and ground clearance (that's why I have one). Having said that, don't think for a minute that you can't build your shooting range with a BX... Best of luck...

Diesel engine sucked up water! Now what?

So, I'll ask again... Do you have KTAC insurance on this piece of equipment? If you financed the machine, they require insurance. Hopefully you went with Kubota Tractor Acceptance Corporation (KTAC).

Diesel engine sucked up water! Now what?

It's covered under KTAC...pretty much anything short of nuclear war which is why I asked the question in the first place but didn't get an answer. 🤷‍♂️ https://www.ktacinsuranceagency.com/ For those doubters out there, copied from KTAC main page. Look at second line from bottom of "Covered...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Part 1 of a small grading job to do for a client...Step 1 was 30" maple stump removal. Step 1 Complete. Woodland Mills WG24 to the rescue

Diesel engine sucked up water! Now what?

Incorrect...KTAC covers lack/lapse of judgement as well.

Broken casting on BH 77 excavator

OP - just for giggles. pull the boom up and lock it (not the swing lock). Move the dipper by hand side to side (engine off) and see if there is any excessive side to side slop in the main boom knuckle or in the swing cylinder joints.

Broken casting on BH 77 excavator

I think its a pretty weak point in the casting. Someone else on this forum had this happen fairly recently as well. I don't recall if they ever admitted to any wrong doing...but I think the dealer replaced it. I don't use the swing lock at all...for this very reason. It's just too easy to...
