    Newbie fuel level question

I've had diesels since Jesus was a Corporal. The number one rule is "Don't run it out of fuel...EVER!" I can't answer the OP's original question, because of rule #1

I thought about that, but I use it at home as well.

I looked yesterday and this might be feasible. I have to take some more detailed measurements, but it might be a better way to go. The wing is working, but as mentioned previously, the draw backs are becoming more and more of a PITA.

Kubota b7100 FEL build on a budget

Once upon a time, there was a hard headed guy that had more money than sense. He purchased a $2,000 TIG welder online, and was going to teach himself how to TIG weld. After about 2-3 weeks of very frustrating "lessons" on what not to do, this hard-headed fool went to the local community...

    Just bought...

Welcome and congrats. I'm pretty new to tractors too. You'll be saying "Why didn't get this years ago?", in no time.

    "Quick disconnect" Chain saw carrier...

Nice job! I really like the grab handle too. I'm 5'8" and was concerned that the saw would block my view of the loader in that configuration.

    "Quick disconnect" Chain saw carrier...

Again, not wanting to make the 1/2 hour trek to my SIL's shop, I remember I used to have a wood plane. After about 25 minutes of me accusing my wife of misplacing my wood plane...hahahaha....I find it in the bottom of a drawer. I planed off the construction adhesive that squeezed out and and...

    "Quick disconnect" Chain saw carrier...

After a number of adjustments, I finally get the angle right. Then I weld on the mounting tabs, drill and bolt it up. I see 2 possible problems at this point. 1. The saw might/will rock 'fore and aft' as I hit bumps, because there is nothing securing it in that direction. The solution I came...

    "Quick disconnect" Chain saw carrier...

The first problem presents itself pretty quickly. I was not exactly surprised at the angle, but I did not predict it ahead of time. After some fiddling, I decide that there were 3 solutions fix the lean. 1. Just ignore it and roll with it leaning. 2. Use a bolt to go through the bracket to...

    "Quick disconnect" Chain saw carrier...

I don't have many wood working tools and did not feel like going to my Son-in-laws to use his shop, so I had previously made the scabbard using a 1X 10 and a 1 x 2 board from the 70% off rack at Home Depot. They were pretty warped, but for the price, I did not think it would matter for this...

    "Quick disconnect" Chain saw carrier...

Everything looks good, so I mark the hole for the loader pins, retaining pin location and drill it.

    "Quick disconnect" Chain saw carrier...

Pic 1.......I found this aluminum bar with a hole already in it, and it miraculously fit the hole on the loader nearly perfectly. Pics 2 is a near miss.... For some reason I was thinking that I had to make a hole the size of that bar into the plate, and thinking that "drilling" a hole that...

    "Quick disconnect" Chain saw carrier...

I don't really have a strong need for a chain saw carrier on a normal basis, but I wanted one still. Lets visit the scrap pile and see what we can come up with. Boys and girls, we will again employ the Ansatz method, as I have no idea how/if this will work. It's a build on the fly with no...

YEP, I have done the heater trick already. Tranny is not an issue, It's a 6 speed G56 manual.;) When I tow the tractor, I do put it in the box, but that's not always practicable.

That's 43 minutes longer than I can hold it. (now that I'm mid fifty'ish) I can normally get there without stopping in 4 hours. So, a head call, (plus a burger) is 1.5 hours'ish...hahaha

I, kind of, get that but where would I place this fan, and how would I regulate it? I can't really think of anywhere to put one that would fit.

    Paging Dr. Hackenslash.....Paging Dr. Hackenslash.......

Not yet, I just replace the fan clutch. The thing I would ask is this. If there is a lack of air (sort of like a low pressure zone) how would having a fan blowing longer help? Wouldn't it kinda be like a fan sitting on a table on the moon? No matter how long you kept it on, there is nothing...

Hahaha...aint it the truth. I have a North and South "one of just about "everything" When we bought the place, the first thing my neighbor said to me was, 'Now you gotta go out and buy one of everything again"

Hmmm, do you have a TSB number? I cant seem to find it on Google. I have replaced the fan clutch, but maybe I didn't get the right one?
