    Who would have thought??

I dunno Dusty - certainly there is a lot of crime here in CT but from the last year complete state statistics are available (2022) maybe the criminals are getting the message? the trend is down. . . at least here in CT

    Who would have thought??

From an NIH study whether pot is a gateway drug: These findings are consistent with the idea of marijuana as a "gateway drug." However, the majority of people who use marijuana do not go on to use other, "harder" substances. Also, cross-sensitization is not unique to marijuana. Alcohol and...

    Expecting a problem next door....

Not to state the obvious here but. . . why not walk over there and have a neighborly chat with him. You may find your assumptions about him are wrong, or not. Seems to me that having your legitimate concerns known would be a good first step. At the worst case he could never say that he was unaware.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

lol, I am planning a new tower for my amateur radio station. Don't you know that on the town zoning application (yes I need a variance because its going to be 60' high) they ask if its <50' from a waterway or wetlands. I had to set my location to avoid that tributary water head.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I'd bet the CT DEEP (Dept energy Environment Protection) has about the toughest regs anywhere. I checked out that town map and it appears that, on their map, the tributary starts just after those 2 trees where I moved the rock. The grade drops about 2 feet and from there is pretty much wet year...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I started dragging out and chipping the pines I cut down last year and dumped at the edge of the woods. I only got to do 3 of them even tho they are all not very big - between 30-40 feet. Anything over 4" I cut up and brought over to my neighbor. I don't burn wood but he does. While I was at it...

    Insurance after payoff.

Several years ago I inquired about insurance on my tractor. I was told its part of my homeowner's policy already, PROVIDED, as other posters have said, that its for non-commercial use and on my property. I carry replacement value coverage. If you ever have a claim you will be very thankful you...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I started my 'woods cleanup' yesterday. Took the two standing dead trees down and bucked them. One was a decent sized cedar. I don't burn firewood but our neighbor does. I loaded one bucketful and brought it over to his house. Turned out to be more of an adventure than I planned. It has been...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I agree with rc51stierhoff's reply. I use a bungee to take the weight off the shaft - its just about balanced at the right height. I have also found getting the pto shaft in pretty straight alignment with the implement helps a lot. I do most of my implement hookups in the basement where they...

    Using the WC88 chipper

That may be true, I have no reason to doubt it. What I meant by 'when things dry out' refers to the swale those pines are dumped in. During the spring rains that area is wet, very wet. If it ever stops raining I can get in there and start pulling them out to chip / firewood. I understand pine...

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

Several years ago one of my sons and I took a mc ride to GNP. Unfortunately it was too early and Going to the Sun Road hadn't opened. We opted to loop around Flathead Lake - no small lake (at least by CT standards :) ). It is a really beautiful lake / area. I still remember the 'free standing'...

    Using the WC88 chipper

My back is finally feeling better (had spasms last week, hurt like hell) and it has stopped raining for a few minutes so. . . I cut down a few small trees that are in the way of my planned yard expansion and chipped them. Nothing big. 3" was the biggest I chipped tho I did take down a standing...
