    Looking for wrench set recommendations.

I'm looking for a set of metric wrenches that are sort of a cross between the regular box end and open end wrenches. They're like a box end with a chunk cut out so you can slip the end over the threaded portion of a bolt or rod and move the wrench end over a nut to turn it. No idea if they...

    What type of motor oil?

According to the BX2380 Kubota Operator's Manual (page 73) CJ=4 engine oil "cannot be used on this tractor." Kubota engine oil has a CJ-4 rating along with others. Should Kubota engine oil not be used on the BX2380?!?!?! I'm thinking the statement in the manual means that you shouldn't use an...

What kind of filter wrenches for BX2380 50 hour maintenance?

Well, I got the 50 hour maintenance completed. I used my big pair of channel locks to get the filters off. The engine oil filter was on really tight. I was beginning to wonder if the filter was going to come apart. Anyway, I had a couple of hours free and that kind of activity beats the heck...

BX2380 needs to hook up 12 volt, 7.0 amp to pull behind sprayer.

I updated my post with about the same question when you posted this. (Great minds?) Makes no sense to me either to add a relay. The two hot wires look like they're meant to provide options.

BX2380 needs to hook up 12 volt, 7.0 amp to pull behind sprayer.

Yep, that's what the VOM showed last night after reading more about it on this site yesterday. I saw where one guy used the switched wire to activate a relay to connect the unswitched wire to the load. - red/black-always-hot wire is a 20 amp line - red/blue-hot-with-ignition-switch is a 10 amp...

BX2380 needs to hook up 12 volt, 7.0 amp to pull behind sprayer.

Except that there are 2 hot wires and 1 ground.

BX2380 needs to hook up 12 volt, 7.0 amp to pull behind sprayer.

It appears that bullet connectors come in different sizes. Do you know if one of these sizes will fit the connectors supplied on the Kubota BX2380...

BX2380 needs to hook up 12 volt, 7.0 amp to pull behind sprayer.

Excellent!!! The ends of the wires were very well wrapped to the outside of a flexible plastic wiring protector with blue tape. The wires have the same colors as described in the link you provided with connectors and lead nowhere so they must, I hope, be the ones. Thank you so much!!!

BX2380 needs to hook up 12 volt, 7.0 amp to pull behind sprayer.

I don't see the 2 wires you referred to but the cigarette lighter outlet (not to be used for a cigarette lighter) will handle 120 watts which would be 10 amps at 12 volts. That's much better than I had thought it would handle. I could use that as a source. I'd also like to have something that...

BX2380 needs to hook up 12 volt, 7.0 amp to pull behind sprayer.

Please be patient with me. I'm new at this. I need some ideas on how to electrically hook up a 14 gallon sprayer built on its own trailer and provide 12 volts to the pump. Should I set up a connection from the BX2380 battery? I could use a deep cycle battery and mount it elsewhere with a...

    Which engine oil for BX2380?

Thanks! 10w-30 would cover the winter temperature range here too but the service manager at the dealership told me to use 15w-40 so that's what I'll use.

    filters part numbers

I encountered the same issue recently with my BX2380 due for 50 hour maintenance. The original filters are black and have no numbers on them. It forced me to go to the dealership to get my filters. Is it a conspiracy??? :)

What kind of filter wrenches for BX2380 50 hour maintenance?

I've done that plenty of times. I've seen others drive a screwdriver through a filter then twist it off.

Thanks for all the replies! You're helping me to learn quite a bit. I'm new at using diesels.

    Which engine oil for BX2380?

At the bottom of page 73 in the Operator's Manual it states that CJ-4 cannot be used on this tractor so scratch that one.

BX2380 50 hour maintenance - changing transmission fluid?

I think I saw where some people are changing the transmission fluid at 50 hours, not just replacing the transmission oil filter as the Operator's Manual states. Is there a good reason for this?
