Looking for Ideas on how to keep birds from destroying my new fascia boards.

Wrong, at least in Arizona. Edit (depending upon species & location) Acorn woodpeckers have little interest in bugs, they only drill holes to store acorns. My place was checked several times before I learned this, and NO bugs.

Looking for Ideas on how to keep birds from destroying my new fascia boards.

Our cabin was originally a natural wood finish, which looks like a dead tree to acorn woodpeckers. After trying everything to get them to leave the place alone, we spoke to animal behaviorists, and they told us to remove any dead trees in the area, (habitat) and change the color & texture of...

What Size Bolt/Nut Is It? This Should Help.

I think this might be useful as a very basic reference for entry level folks. But a quick check of my metric stash revealed all these different nuts, all 6mm x 1.0.

Kubota B7100HST-D access to tighten the fan belt... SOLVED....

I've got one, but never got around to installing it. Tractor actually lives in the high country, where it can get cold enough to need one.

I made a swing lock for my B670 Hoe, and when it is stowed, it doubles as a step. No fancy teeth, tho. ;)

    Farmall H restoration

I wish! That pic was from my shop at work. Note high $$ quillmaster, much nicer and newer mill, .0001 DRO, alodyned part, near cleanroom conditions, static sensitive warning sign, and FOG poster on unused door. Item being machined is part of a fixture to mount a gyro on an ultra precision rate...

    Looking for some "machine advice"

Placement is something to consider also. Putting a lathe too close to a wall or other obstruction might prevent loading/unloading a long bar. Make sure of clearances for mill & grinder tables, and cranes if loading heavy stuff. Nearby storage for heavy accessories, (chucks, vises, indexers...

    Looking for some "machine advice"

I bought my mill from a large company that required professional riggers to move the machine off their property. (insurance regs) So I hired the largest, most professional riggers in Phoenix, because I had worked with them several times in my career. They used a fork lift to load it on a...
