    Getting Started

Not just the $6,000 cost of the bigger tractor but everything that you add to it is more expensive, loader, bigger heavy duty rotary cutter, rear blade, box blade, grapple, etc... probably use more fuel in most cases as well. If I were working a large farm as my source of income, production...

    Tractor shopping in Georgia

In this case the seller admitted it was financed so go with him to the bank and settle things there. But in general, with no title, license, or deed, how does one determine if there is a lien against a tractor? The lender could be from any town, county or state. I think a B2650 is more than...

New member, first time tractor ordered, L3901-HST

Here's the Titan ballast box on the QuickHitch you're getting, on My L2501. https://www.palletforks.com/3-point/ballast-box/ballast-box-3-point-category-1-tractor-attachment/191431.html

New member, first time tractor ordered, L3901-HST

Nice tractor you have coming SageHill, and well equipped. I'll second what UpNorthMI mentioned about having some weight hanging off your QuickHitch to counter the FEL. I went with a Titan ballast box which was under $300 delivered and is much less cumbersome back there than a box blade or rear...

    Ballast box

Muzzy nice work on the ballast box, and while I give mine a wash every so often your rig is SO clean that I'm almost ashamed.

    L2501 service oil change

My dealer as well so that's what I bought from them when I did my 50 hour service, along with filters and SUDT2 as I changed the transmission as well, even though it's no longer called for. Next and all subsequent oil changes I plan to use Rotella synthetic 5w-40 which exceeds what Kubota specs...

    Zero Turn Mower

After struggling with bouncing on my B2650 with 72" deck I changed to a Ferris Z2100 Kaw motor with 61" deck and couldn't be happier. Smoother and much faster.

    Small displacement motorcycles

You're right the XT225 Serow, and a last year model with only 149 miles was a find. Nice that you are enjoying yours! Unfortunately I believe the XT250 is also being discontinued, inevitable really and one reason I bought one. We're getting toward the last of the small single cylinder...

    COVID-19 Stuff

I just read through DCD reporting guidelines and didn't notice this? Do you have a link to where they do? Here's the one I read. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvss/vsrg/vsrg03-508.pdf

    Ballast box

Absolutely, that's what I pointed out to him. But the fact it tipped up on its front wheels without them braking illustrates that whether in 4wd or not, it was going to tip. Too light in the rear, too much weight in front, too steep a drive. Heck I find on my tractor with the bucket filled it...

    Ballast box

I always did you don't need, or want, all that FEL and ballast box weight on your lawn. Yeah well he's right it doesn't lift all that much but it's also light in the rear. I'll just add this. Three years ago my friend started driving his brand new BX down his fairly steep concrete driveway...

New guy waiting on tractor and a few questions

Congratulations on your new tractor! Rear tire tread width outside to outside will be around 53" on a B2650 so a 60" tiller should work well.

    L2501 ... A REAL Tractor

While a B2650 (or now LX) is similar length and height to an L01 series there is a definite increases in weight, the L is just built heavier. Also an L01 is noticeably wider. My B2650 was 53" outside tread to outside tread while an L2501 is 58" so more stable in ruts or hills which is the main...

    Small displacement motorcycles

True, then again when his tire blew out at 100 and he went down he slid to a stop. A following motorcycle traveling the same speed, if paying attention, could have slowed down faster by braking than the motorcycle sliding on its side. At this point I just feel sorry for the family and friends he...

    Small displacement motorcycles

Good Lord one bike has a problem and it takes out three others..... why in the world would they be that close together when riding? Crazy! I notice a lot of TW200's on RV's. I agree about Honda's SL350 being a nice looking old bike.

    Small displacement motorcycles

KLR 650 is a good old bike I had a couple of them over the years, wonder where Kaw is going to bring out its replacement? Interesting a tubeless tire would blow out suddenly like that. How come they took a second rider to the hospital? Did two bikes go down?

    Small displacement motorcycles

Any of you have, or are interested, in small displacement motorcycles? I have other bikes but a year ago I decided to pick up a small street legal motorcycle. It would be for riding everything from local trails and dirt roads up to primary (55 mph) roads. My friend had been hinting that she'd...

I assume Yanmar. Come to think of it is the whole tractor Yanmar or does Deere make parts of it?

    Time to upgrade

Personally I'm happy with taking the rebates then anything over 10% off. Rebates can be dependent on implements purchased so check to see if omitting the mmm will save you as much as you think. If you plan on using the mower much I'd buy it with the tractor properly setup. And definitely 60"...

    Time to upgrade

I owned a B7500 which is basically an older 21HP, 2-range hydro version of a B2301 and I loved that tractor. It was my mower (54" deck) and the LA302 loader with 48" bucket did everything I needed from carrying gravel, dirt, moving snow, even moving over 100 11' pine logs which I had to strap to...
