    In market for budget welder

It does get a lot of good reviews. I recently saw a video comparting flux core wires and the guy used the dekopro I would not have thought to add more resistance using jumper cable - that's a nifty trick I'll tuck away for future reference if needed. Do you think it would be slightly 'better'...

    In market for budget welder

I did purchase the yeswelder mig 205ds yesterday on amazon. After considering the reasons/projects I have in mind as well as reading more about spool guns, I opted not to get one for some of the reasons you mentioned above. As mentioned, the yes welder meets my requirements today. I'll...

    Had a flat!!!

only if you own our own air compressor, even then you're paying for electricity to run it :p. I have noticed some of the service stations near me no longer offer free air. Right before the pandemic hit, it cost me around $3 at a shell station to air up all 4 of my tires on a drive to work. Dan

    Bent mower deck

This just happened to me, I was able to bend it back using just a pair of locking pliers - surprisingly no cheater bar needed. It looked like it would be harder to bend than it turned out to be. Link to my post below...

little body work on the deck.

That's one loud goat! I take safety seriously. I was too lazy to go upstairs to get my in-ear buds (isotunes) so I used my old on ear that I keep in the garage for my woodworking. Both have bluetooth so I can listen to tunes while doing work. Dan

little body work on the deck.

We've been getting our daily (sometimes twice) summer storms here in Georgia. Happy to be getting the rain, but it also means a huge growth spurt for the the grass and weeds. I knew I had to drop the deck to clean off all the wet grass, but found an unexpected surprise. I can't say I'm sure...

Replacing stock headlight bulbs with LED

I looked into these guys for buying LED bulbs for my F150, opted not to go with them as everything they sold at the time I looked (not sure if still true today) were off-road use only. If you drive your tractor on road, something to consider. Also, just because a LED bulb fits and is higher...

Tires flat need to repair nothing open

Time to buy a tire changer? Then you can patch from inside yourself? I've got mini tire change from Harbor Freight, used it in front mower tires and dump cart tires. supposed to be able to handle up to 12" rim (4"-12"). They also sell a bigger one to handle up to light truck (whatever size...

    In market for budget welder

Yes, the mig250 pro. However, it's not dual voltage - only 240. The majority of my welding right now is 120. Something to think about. Thanks Dan

    In market for budget welder

The 205DS is one of the ones I am considering. The only thing bad about it, it doesn't support spool gun and I do want to do aluminum in the future (and prefer not buying 2 welders). I do alot of thin metal, so 110 is fine - weld outside mostly. I don't currently have 240 outlet, but will in...

How many working hours before you sharpen lawn cutting blades?

Last time I paid for blades to be sharpened, was set of 3 for 48" mower (2 years ago) and it was $15. Now, it takes about 15 minutes to sharpen 3 including the time to get out the sharpener, clamp in bench vice, get out the angle grinder, install the disk, sharpen the 3 blades, then put it all...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I wonder if this would do the same (note the nozzle is different) https://www.amazon.com/Flusher-Powerful-Flushes-Removes-Sediment/dp/B09J29FM4Y?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1 I had one of the all plastic ones with a small fan-like end like the radiator genie but it broke (plastic split) after one...

How many working hours before you sharpen lawn cutting blades?

I have 2 sets of blades for my mower - I swapped them to take the old ones to get them sharpened then it skipped my mind and never did. Then before the blades in use needed sharpened, I bought the sharpening jig. I have 3 Pieces of equipment with blades that I usually sharpen at least once a...
