The 5w40 still fits what you say. I use M1 0w30 European diesel rated ESP oil from Advanced Auto in both the B2601 and Isuzu generator driver. Before that, I was using VW's 5w30 Castrol for their diesels and is what I used in the VW TDI for 7 years.

Mine has oval pieces where your picture shows circular. Guess one can get at the shear bolt and nut from those and then remove the shroud? How is it held in place? Might just wait until the bolt shears, but sometimes one has to assist the last piece out.

Sounds like a cut or melt/burn the thing off.

Could not, because the top link on the RC is supposed to be directly above the lift arm pins to have the swing arm work correctly.

I recommend a Frontier RC over a Landpride: MUCH easier to set up the Frontier, and I like the chains rather than rubber shields.

Exactly what I did, but the thing would not lower below about 3 inches up. Think it is because the top link came out longer than the bottom lift arms. This would cause the tail wheel to drive to ground. Had this happen on an LX4 when they didn't place the lift pins in the right position for...

Moved some stumps that the wife had dug out with shovel and sawzall and then used the new Landpride RCR1248 to mow a small patch where the forestry mulcher had not gone.

I use a 2 1/2 gallon container and only lift it to the footwell. Then use a Northern Tool battery pump to pump it into the tank. So far, I've not had to replace the battery in well over a year. It has auto shutoff.

I hooked underneath where the swing piece is. 'tis where I could hook the Frontier. However, the RC refused to lower much more than about 3 inches up with the hook in that position. Not sure why. Yeah, there's an extra piece of swing with the U adaptor in there.

I just use channel locks adjusted large. Be sure you're only on the metal ring.

I'd recommend a Frontier RC2048 or RC2060. Just finished setting up the Land Pride RC1548, and it was a PITA. Story in a separate post. Wrong color, but who cares?

I recently got an RCR1548 for the B2601. I mow trails, and the 60 would stick out too much on the sides. If you're just doing a lot of flat fields the bigger one would get the job done quicker. I'll need to mow big areas where we had a forestry mulcher clear but only once/yr or once ever 2...

With Miata gone, the RTV 520 is parked now next to the B2601. Took the battery tender from the Miata and put it on the tractor. Put key to tractor by the tender so I don't start and forget to unplug the tender.
