    It is not directly spring loaded but the pistons are. Depending what residual oil pressure would be in there and what it would take to balance the springs on the pistons, that plate could rotate when the pin was removed. I honestly can't think of any other thing that would make your tractor...

    You might be able to turn that plate to the correct position by putting the tractor in high gear and carefully pushing it to turn the assembly. I'm not sure this will work but it certainly is worth a try!

    Looks to me like someone else removed the wrong plug and allowed the motor reaction plate to turn.

    The red wire in the picture of the starter is probably a fusible link. the picture doesn't include enough to see the other end of the wire.

    It is a fusible link. It looks like a length of wire but is designed to burn out if overloaded. I usually replace them with a circuit breaker.

    If the motor reaction plate turned 180 degrees the tractor would operate in reverse. It is so long ago I had one of those apart I can't remember if there is a hole opposite that you could put that pin into!

    There is also the issue that the BX1880 has smaller wheels so is lower and it is a few inches shorter so you need the shorter front bracket ( or modify the one that comes with the deck) Otherwise the RCK60b23x will fit on the tractor. You need to lift the tractor a small amount to push it...

    The original inner boot (k125301660) is no longer available from Kubota, It changes up to a complete tie-rod end assembly for quite a bit more money if all you really need is the boot!

    Ask your dealer for the assembly manuals that came with your tractor and components. It includes a lot of good information that you likely will find useful. I always included them in the package we gave the owner when we did the customer orientation but I understand that many dealers don't. It...
