    Awesome BX fork option!

Here's another video using the forks to pick up some brush: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brYf7QSlYkg

    Awesome BX fork option!

I checked those out as well. I liked that they were movable, but the rigidity of the frame and fork mounting points seemed questionable in comparison to the one I went with. It also puts the load further out in front of the pins by a few inches. If you absolutely need movable forks, I think...

    Awesome BX fork option!

I hope so. Kubota makes a solid product, but it often takes the aftermarket to extend the use of something to it's full potential. These forks, and the piranha tooth bar are perfect examples. I couldn't live without either. I'm proud to say I've supported both bxpanded and mytractortools...

lol! wanted a safe spot to burn a bunch of brush and tree trimmings that have accumulated over the years.

    Awesome BX fork option!

Since I've gotten my BX, I've been a looking at a good option for adding forks. While I love my little BX, I can't figure out what Kubota was thinking with their factory option for forks. The 3 piece setup is so heavy that you only end up with ~300lbs of lifting capacity. The many available...

    Piranha Tooth Bar Digging Pics

It definitely digs. . This is ~14' across and it took about 30 mins to do. With someone better in the seat, it would have probably been a 15 minute job.

    Bypass mechanical lift pump

I have an old IR Lightsource ex-light tower with a D905 in it. When I got it, the mechanical lift pump was bypassed (12V electric fuel pump pushing fuel up to the inj. pump instead). The mechanical pump is still installed in the block, with nothing connected to it, and open fittings. Motor...

    BX25D BH Hesitation

Thanks SOO much for the vids and replies guys!!! Really put my mind at ease, as I didn't remember mine doing this before. Must be by design. I wonder if inside the cylinder something moves in front of the opening to slow the fluid down at that point to keep it from slamming, or if it's just...

    BX25D BH Hesitation

Would anyone volunteer to take a quick vid of their BX25D and do the same thing? Just slowly raise the boom up to the stop. I think I had the rev's @ ~2100, but even higher up, the hesitation/engine load-up is there, it's just less pronounced since the motor is making more HP. -Rich H.

    BX25D BH Hesitation

Nothing appears to be in the way to me. It sat outside at the dealer before I bought it, but it's been garaged (tractor, FEL & BH) since December.

    BX25D BH Hesitation

I got my BX25D right before winter, and only got to use the backhoe once before it and the FEL came off in exchange for a snowblower. Fast-forward to this weekend, and I swapped back to BH and FEL, and used it for the second time to move a small tree. I noticed that the dipper/bucket control...

    Varying Engine Specs

I'm starting to think there really are at least two different models/spec's for the 1800rpm version of the D1005. I've found numerous reputable manufacturers with 8.5kW generators for both land and sea applications that leverage some variant of the Kubota D1005. This example is particularly...

    Varying Engine Specs

Yeh, I had also noticed the inj. timing difference (you reversed them in your reply, but the point remains). What's unusual though is that Kubota does supply a specific power rating for the 1800rpm BG model, and it doesn't match this label. I also submitted a query to Kubota regarding this...

    Varying Engine Specs

Got to thinking maybe the Emissions stickers use some different measurement std. from the EPA, so I went and looked at the sticker on the D902 in my BX25D to compare. Here it is: Shows 16.1kW @3200rpm, which matches the general Kubota spec sheet exactly.

    Varying Engine Specs

Hi guys, I appreciate the feedback, but I'm good with the conversions. I know I was long-winded with mixing in talking about how many usable watts of electricity I'd have, but my main concern is around trying to determine the actual amt. of crank power I can expect to get out of this specific...

    Varying Engine Specs

I'm pulling my hair out over here. I'm putting in a semi-permanent generator at my house (inside a detached shed), and the engine is a Kubota D1005. The genset manufacturer, of course, overrated the output. I knew this going into it, and ignored their max output rating, but figured the...

Used Kubota Motor - what to look for?

Yep, sorry, from the 12v ext. fuel pump to the injection pump. It's old rubber line and it's brittle and leaking pretty bad in one spot.

Used Kubota Motor - what to look for?

So. . I ended up buying it. Was pretty comical series of events actually, as buying and selling used equipment usually is. Guy shows up with generator in tow, and he seems like a nice guy. I give it a good look and the cabinet is rough, but inside it's just dirty. There's a thick layer of...

Used Kubota Motor - what to look for?

When you say "vent tube for the valve cover", is that the "crankcase breather"?
