    What to get the wife?

She did indeed, especially that smiling putto in the lower right corner.

    What to get the wife?

It's not signed. All I know is that it's Flemish school 17th century.

    What to get the wife?

My (Japanese) better half is very low-maintenance: she wears no jewelry, has no passion for shoes, always buys her own clothes etc. She is also more than independently wealthy, hence expensive stuff doesn't impress her at all. So I am constantly on the lookout (and listening!) for little gift...

    Printer Recommendations

I bought my dad an Epson 2500 back in '16, and it's still going strong (even with 2 grandkids at the university, printing freely). The ink refills are dirt cheap (10 euros to print a couple thousand B&W pages). For the price, you can't beat it.

    Let the fun begin

Reminds me of the time when my long-gone grandfather raised a few hundred chickens and a couple dozen turkeys every year. In late October or early November, we had a big slaughter party, and it always was my brother's and my job to do the killing... 🔪 Still have pictures of one of those...

Would you buy the same tractor again or a different one?

With the slopes and narrow passages I have to deal with, I couldn't use anything bigger than the BX. I AM thinking though about getting one of the old tractors (+/- 1970) in my neighborhood (ancient David Brown and IH) if/when one comes up for sale. Not for work, but just to drive it from time...
